Corvette already did. :P

BTW, I'm just giving you crap, but the whole obsession with OHC is silly. Each style has inherent advantages and disadvantages.

The irony is, if you go to any of the "stance" communities, you'll see how elitist these hellaflush kids are. They see themselves as kings and the rest of the car world as inferior. It's a fad, give them a few more years to grow up and they'll come around.

I could care less what engine you use but if you want a V8 why don't you just buy an old C5 vette??
O and if you seen anyone with that hella flush crap on a RX7, please smack them. Multiple times!!!!

Seeing as the vette was designed around that engine, seems the $ spent on the conversion would be better suited to buy a vette. Hell the styling of the vette is just like a fd

Not my setup. You could perhaps make that argument with a Mustang or something, but to get a 2840 lbs Corvette with a solid rear axle and a turbo that fits under the hood is much more difficult than building the car I have. Besides, who wants to have the same thing as everyone else. :P
How reliable is that boosted Aluminum V8? I know a stockish N/a motor will run for a while. What kinda mileage are you guys getting out of the big power setups? I know they aren't cheap. I have seen a few boosted/No2 Lsx's around my town get built and beat on, they aren't bulit proof either.

I thought any thing much over 700 was pushing it with the stock Aluminum LS block? Not saying it can't be done but isn't the LQ-9 (iron) the way to go for big HP no2/ Boost?
Awesome gas milage, But I was wondering how many miles you get out of the engine?

Oh, and life of the engine? Depends on usage. With my usage, probably 50-60k or more without much issue. If you only run it at the strip, less obviously.
That said, I'll probably do rings/bearings at around 30k.
