The rotard didn't even own a car.

I used to have that mentality. I still do but in a more logical open minded way.

I love rotary but i also am truely in love with v8's now thanks to my friend. Still love my FD so i kept that, and bought myself a great daily driver with a STOUT torquey engine, an LS2 gto. Sure its a boat but for a car that runs mid to low 13s stock, in a car that weighs 1000lbs more than the FD, i was happy.

I can just imagine what an LS2 in the FD would be like, must be an absolute rocket. No need to downshift ever. I know i dont when im in my goat. I can accelerate at 40mph in 6th gear and easily pass people. Impossible in my FD at the same speed in 5th gear. It just wont happen lol.

just purchased my first rotary and was enjoying it...

there are a lot of haters out there for sure, but i thought id dive in and see for myself. figured if it all went south i could always do an ls or 2jz swap since i know more about those...but for now still having fun.

You gotta just let them complain.. Thats the entire reason why I built this car. I helped a buddy build a 4G63 FC and we went to a meet and were a hit with EVERYONE BUT a couple rotards there and it annoyed me how close minded, ignorant and overly judgmental they were. I use to be a Rotor head and had a completely built turbo RX8 and even tho the rotary is a HORRIBLE engine when you step back and look at it I still loved it. high oil consumption, unreliable at higher power levels (even stock they have issues) and the most horrific gas millage youll ever see. Oh well, they'll be really mad at the next Seven Stock ^_^

I noticed that. Everytime I would ask for an opinion on my body work the only response I would get would be go to a turbo 2 setup or send that thing to the junkyard. Damned rotor heads

You wouldn't even have an rx7 to put your easy way out v8 if it wasn't for a rotary engine.

I went ahead and fixed this quote for you so that the LS engine envy can be fully understood.

By using a v8 you're only admitting that the rx7 is a superior chassis to whatever is supposed to have a v8 in it, and you're incapable of tuning as well as maintaining a rotary engine.

Sorry but if you have a 400whp v8 you have really nothing to brag about, people run that on a stock block rotary engine.

Watch the trolling or politely see yourself out of this section. Don't like V8s in RX7s? Don't come to this section. Simple concept.

Sincerely,

The Management

You missed that he was alluding to people using round wheels because it makes the most sense, paralleling why people choose to use V8's...

I can respect the passion that people have for Rotaries, but there is a point where a line is crossed. Instead of being an enthusiast, you become a bigot.

I personally like both engines. At the end of the day, however, logic trumps all and I will favor what functions better (whatever that may be ).

More DOHC V8's please . Not a giant fan of push rods.

Now I did not say I hate them. Just not a fan.

DOHC motors are big and heavy. Also, quite a bit older tech than pushrods.
