V8 install how too?

I have seen 1st gens with chevy v8's Is it possible to do this to a 2nd gen without too much customization. I have found a 87 but the motor needs a rebuild. I have a perfect 305 that I rebuilt a few years ago only has 15K since then. I havent checked into a rebuild kit but expect it to be 500 and up. Can I install my engine for less than that? All the old motor needs is seals I guess. The motor is already out of the car. I should be getting it for $600. If a v8 swap is fesable ill give him 700 no more. Body is pretty decent just has rust on rear wheel well arches. Its a standard NA.

V8RX7 messageboard

Fits with no engine bay mods and under the hood. 305 is a waste unless you have it for free. 350 will make way more power for the same $$$.
