sacrilege

i know there's a lot more mods i need to do for an n/a to turbo swap in my fc than just droppin in a motor. i know the rear end needs to be changed out for sure, but wondering what else?

also, i do have another option besides turboing it. i was actually thinking about swapping in a Chevy 350, maybe even a ford 302. actually i think i'd rather go with an LS1. just wondering what is needed for both swaps minus the prices

Check www.grannysspeedshop.com

Or look in the other engine conversions section of the forum...those nutballs could give you better answers than us...

torquecentral.com for the piston swap. For the 13BT swap you need at least the motor, turbo, tranny, drivetrain, ecu, fuel injectors and pump. You also need to search. The FAQ has links to more comprehensive lists including step-by-steps. This info can also be found at rotaryresurrection.com, Kevin Landers' site.

Don't take kindly to getting your *** handed to you on the street by my daily driver is more likely. Check my (lengthy) post in the linked thread.

HaHa, no kidding. It all depends on what you want in the end. Pretend a turbo swap or the V8 will give you the same exact hp number... The V8 will be more reliable, and it'll be less to worry about. I have a turbo'd car, and it's a ball to drive, but when I have it tweaked up it's like riding on "thin ice." A lot can go wrong with a turbo car. On the other hand, I can drive my 383 sbc powered FC like I stole it, and the only thing I'd worry about is getting 16mpg!
