V8 Guys, Let's see your old rotary engine bays ;o)

I'm just wondering what all of us were packing under the hood before we decided to go V8. Consider this thread a short trip back to your good ole rotor days...

Here's what I was packing before the LS6, oh yeah, and the new chassis....lol

Never finished building, and pics were taken in the building phase so they look like shi., but.....

J&H Racing 13brew semi bridge
Jaytech lower intake
Accel quad TB upper w/ matching fuel rails (cost like $2500?)
Aeromotive 1000 pump
Turbonetics T66
Massive FMIC ?
T2 coils
Auronic SM2 and CDI Ignition
upgraded DS

Bone stock N/A S4 13B with something like 75-80K miles when I pulled it. My car had a tiny bit of a power upgrade with the current drivetrain.

Dead Motor

It never entered my mind that anyone would remove a perfectly good rotary to do the swap, but no doubt some people have done that. I got lucky and found a 1984 GSL with 63k miles and a bad motor. It was bone stock, presumably a failed apex seal, and would not run. I have done several custom projects with rotary powered cars, and always started with something that was headed for the scrapper. This car was so nice it would certainly not have been scrapped.

To clarify, my rotary was dead when I pulled it (though it later turned out to be a major problem with the factory harness), although I was already assembling the V8 swap parts when it died. Ironically the very first time I transported V8 parts in the car was the very last time it started under it's own power. It KNEW what was coming.
