Just my experience, you may want to know waht the bill will look like before they hand it over to you. What if you get a bill for 100K? That's all I was saying, if you don't care, than, money is of no concern.

id like to call it my dream car. it'll be out on the weekends, see a few shows, maybe even see the track just to see what it can do?? i built this car for me, for fun!
iv owned a 98 tt supra 6 speed and that was a ton of fun (power wise) but as for the fd looks, they are my fav!!! so i wanted to mend the 2.
sometimes people get to carried away with what the real goal they set... i want a fun car and this is going to be it

we are going to mount the 2 a1000 pumps in the tank now. there wasnt much room under the car, and 2 a1000 in the car would have been a little to loud. ill take some pictures... should be cool and a lil diff when its finished

i had conceived the idea of 2JZ in a FD long before roachdaddy was even able to tell the difference between a FD and a vette.

Three adjustments were made before i reached a possible solution to bump steer issue.
a. I relocated the brackets that hold the suspesion arms first but invain.
b. I lifted the engine with support, invain again
c. i had to lift the front on 2JZ to its exact position where it infact comes out of the hood and fabricated a fiber hood where its appearance became discreet. i got my bumpsteer prob fixed but i have to live with a hood with an arch in it

Now this blue FD has got a JZGTE motor in it after all the possible solutions

as you can see nothing much is changed here. All the possible solution were applied but were then reverted back to lifting the engine from the front.

Last I heard, Tech2 was doing the swap with a subframe with no bump steer. However, the engine and turbo stick out considerably. For this reason, they came up with a cowl hood. It looks good, not OEM, but ok if you want to compromise.

Way to bring up a discussion that has been gone over time and time and time and time and time and time and time again... Please read the whole thread before starting this again.

I am currently undergoing the same build. fd rx7 2jz motor i bought the tech2 kit and decided to go with the GT42r turbo the aeromotive 1000 external pump aeromotive fuel pump controller aeromoticve FPR 1000cc rc injectors and fuel rail hks dli ignition box turbosmart e boost hks manifold and waste gate hks down pipe exedy hyper twin clutch custom front mount intercooler koyo radiator and spal fans. With my set up i need a custom hood as the motor sits higher. Also i saw that you were custom fitting and making components for your swap. How do you intend to work the speedo and tach? tech2 sells the interface boxes and magnetic pick up coils. and also custom a harness. I will be running the AEM stand alone. I dont have the money for a new DIFF and axles right now. Im a 21 yr old full time student. I had a new speed 3 with about 320 wheel with bolt ons but its totaled now! I'm waiting on a few parts to come in then we will be under way!
