You might want to post this in the "Other Engine Conversions" forum.

Oh yeah... Put your FLAME suit on!

Couldn't resist...
You'll probably have better luck on torquecentral though.
Good luck!

Someone please delete RapTorZ-TtT's post, this is how this V8 vs rotary **** starts.

RaPtOr - Please stay away from the "other engine conversions."

Don't do it. Rotary engines are better, and you'll destroy the handling.

That, or I'm tired of seeing people read that SCC issue and decide to do their own, without any idea what it takes.

Buy a honda first, then go from there.

How does putting in the LS1 destroy the handling? It doesnt. After the LS1 swap the car only weighs about 35 lbs more. Not only that but the LS1 engine has a lower cener of gravity that the wankel. Handling is improved please do your research.

You read the magazine. Good job.

The LS1 wrecks the handling. Don't buy it. Don't buy the car either, just to save us the trouble.

Unfortunately, you have come to a forum hoping to get genuine answers to a question and instead are getting crap, and even being misled by one member- xthephilx- who himself is actually doing an LS1 swap. I recognize his username from www.torquecentral.com. It is just a bizarre and sophomoric bit of crap he is serving. Ignore it.

Were I doing this conversion I would likely have it done directly by hinson supercars. Obviously they have more experience than anybody else, and the cost encountered in driving or shipping the car to them would likely be made up with the benefits of having the work done by them. IMHO.

It does look like a cool/fun swap.

Oh, and how about some other people actually giving a helpful and substantative anwer to his question.

Regards,
Justin Wade

kind of skipped through this until now.

i'm just curious as to why you wouldn't want him to take it there. sure some people there can be a little "uptight," but they do produce very good work at a reasonable price.
