they are local to me. the guy who took up and fixed the car has done quite a few v8 swaps into rx7 and does superior job at it.

Maybe if it was a three rotor, our hearts would go out to him

I guess if you feel that way, you can find your way out of the OEC subforum....

no, I got your point. You don't care what people do to THEIR car. It's just MORE than annoying to have to sift through the rotary purists posts when visiting this part of the forum. I felt the need to voice my opinion on the matter, such as you did yours.

Talk to me..

So should I get rid of this thread? Just give me a YES or NO...simple majority vote and it'll happen on Friday, April 16th...

This IS their board, after all.

No, you missed the point. The guy got screwed over by a shop. You ever taken your car to a shop? Said shop wasn't a dedicated V8 swap shop either, they could have just as easily been screwing a rotary owner - like you, if you hadn't seen this thread.

NO. The light needs to stay shining on shops who screw people over.

dude paid 14K for a shop whom i wont name. they where suposed to swap a LS6 5.7L V8(C5 Z06 motor) into a FD. sadly the shop did such a shitty job that is have to be redone. i believe Greg rebiult the car correctly now. but they refunded him $2000 because they didn't put in a LS6 they threw a LS1 in there instead. on severa things done to the car were quite simpley unsafe and should never be done to any car let alone a customers car.

anyway, holy crap!!! they just said something like..."hey, wth, we'll just pust some other motor in,...he won't mind". i hate to hear stuff like this. this is one reason i got into fab work in the first place, and most definately the reason i run business the way that i do...

does anyone have pics? or current pics of the car now? and really....what business did this? if they are open, i don't want me anyone i know going there without knowing how they work...

Yes because David the 3 rotor God didn't have to go through 3-4 shops to get his FD done(and how many years?). Give me a break with the ignorant posts.

Bad shops are bad shops regardless of what car/engine combination was worked on.
