5L engine swap

hey, i was just wondering what parts/mods were needed if i wanted to swap the rotary engine with a ford 5L. please, any info you have on this please leave a message or email me at andrew_ellerman@hotmail.com

that link sucked... The Wrong Motor, and Grannys speed shop are some places to look.

V8 Swaps are fairly common. Just be forwarned, flaming will be following.

thanks for the links. does the 305 cui chev or the 302 cui ford 5L engine fit right into the engine compartment? also i was wondering the width of the rear end? if anyone knows please leave a message! thanks again

Ive got a 5.0 rx7 the engine fits your gonna need a 5.0 oil pan from a merc or linc I think the double sump so it fits over the cross member and sway bar if ur using a t5 tranny a custom linkage might be a good idea or ull punch the radio lol I've got a Mazda rear end that came on my FC with stronger axles and LSD oh and a custom hood cuz the intake manifold won't clear my car still handles like it's on rails so I dunno why everyone thinks that handle like crap I'm pushing close to 500 at the wheels if it hooks it runs easly high 11s on street tires I'm planning on ripping it out tho and putting a 13bREW or 20B in it this winter running 93/110 octane mix is getting retarded Email me for pics if u wanna see how it fits in enjoithabling@hotmail

this thread is 6 years old, he probably converted and sold the car by now.

I'm aware how old it is man it's reference for others there aren't too many 302 powered sevens on the street I see 5 or more 350 swapped to every 5.0 rx7 it's just info I can't help ur a dick and gotta make comments like that ur car is prolly a beater anyway
