went to the track (again)

i raced this STi with a 20g and EMS and a big FMIC. he said he was running 24psi on pumpgas (wtf) and it was running a little lean up top... anyways, it was decent, but it will be faster when its retuned. we raced like 5 times. no one was at the track so we got like unlimited passes. my bosnian buddy with a t3/t4 mkIII GTI ran a 12.8 @122 :eek3:

here's my best timeslip from tonight, i'm on the left, sti on the right:
me:------------------sti:
rt .121 ---------------.019
60ft 2.01 ------------- 1.76
330 5.15 -------------- 5.45
1/8 ET 8.24 ----------- 8.35
MPH 92.40 ----------- 87.21
1000 10.62 ---------- 10.86
1/4 ET 12.60 --------- 12.86
MPH 114.80 --------- 111.94

yeah he out-tree'd me and out 60ft'd me... he had like 2 full carlengths on me by the 60ft line. i was like oh ****... i still beat him to the end of the track though

as for the 60ft (or the 12.36) i'm very surprised i got a 2.0, it definitely wont be getting any better than that.

Dood! Come on! You can do better then that! I refuse to believe you cant get lower unless you have bicycle tires on the rears!

2.01 matches my best 60' on basically stock tires (well-225's) I'm thinking maybe a tenth or possibly two could be picked up with some decent dr's, at least thats how it feels with my setup.

Also, your 1/8th mph is real high, matched my mph that I ran with an 8.07et. I'd have to say your car, with the right tires and launch has a lot more in it.

You sure he didn't just have those mods sitting in his trunk? That or the guy forgot where the gas is... the STi should've been a lot faster than that!

Jacob,

Why don't you email me the next time you come down. I would be happy to let you barrow my Bogart wheels with MT drag radials just for fun.
