i find its all in the clutch you need to get the back end to sit to trasfere the weight so it stays on the groung. some good rubber makes it too.

wow! looks like a lot of stuff for 15s. im sure it has a lot more in it. get some smaller wheels so you can run taller tires. dont do a burnout and go around the water box if you are on street tires. burning out hardens street tires when they get warm and water drips off the tires and makes it even worse. also leave when the 3rd yellow light hits. dont wait for the green light. im glad you took it to the track and posted uninflated times. def not a civic kid that claims 12's and runs 18's

Those mods are all true. Like i said the car felt like it was driving on ice. I could feel the tires spinning. I was going to deflate the tires but i was only able to get those to runs in. The one time i did try to launch the car the rear end starting bouncing so i let off and the second run i just kind of rolled it out. Im sure if i had more track time and better tires the times would come down.

ha ha I am in the same boat as you, I am going to watch this thread as we are in the same boat, I got over 300hp and I cant break into the 13s.

Anyway we should hit the track on Wednesdays because 2 runs a night isn't going to improve either of our times, I bet if we could get at least 8 runs in we will see major improvements, later I might post my slips so they can laugh at me too.

My first run had tons of wheel hop too and second was slick and sketchy as well.

All the HP in the WORLD isnt going to help you get a better time if you cant put the power to the ground..

basic rule of acceleration force x mass
300 hp aint nothing for a cruise ship.
loose weight. and the first 200 kg are free good place to start
huge lumps of metal crap under bumpers
another great one is your roof ditch all the workings and huge frame silicone your roof plate in. loots of weight loost from above you head the worst place to have it.
also how much gas is in your tank???

that 60ft is terrible- that would be whats killing your times. you gotta figure out how to launch much better. turning that 2.8 into a 1.8 takes a second off the time..
my 13.0 trapped at 109 with a 2.2 60 ft (coilovers+street tires). so it sounds like you should be in high 13's.

Its practically a new motor so i didnt want to beat on it too hard on the first run so i let it out at about 4k and got some nasty wheel hop so the second run i didnt want to try an launch and brake somthing so i rolled it out. I did realize one thing that the car wasnt ready for the track. I will have better tires and the suspension will be in better shape before i go to the track again.

With those mods you felt like you were driving on ice? Seriously.....you're not running that much HP, probably 250 max to the wheels. With a TII lsd, you should be fine. Did you forget to put tires on your rims or something?

The car dynoed 227 with the old stock turbo, Low compression on the motor, and 9 pounds of boost. I doubt its maxing out at 250 with the new set up. But in a few weeks its going on the dyno so ill make sure to let you know what its putting down.

So is the motor still on low compression ?

My n/a would run similar if not better times depending on my setup with about 160-170whp on a streetported s4 na.

Id say to check out your bushings and see if they need to be replaced , bad bushings can make you lose alot of hp to the ground by having bad bushings that cause the car to vibrate under heavy load.

Example : motor mounts, tranny mounts, and rear end mounts

If any of those mounts are torn up it can cause alot of vibration.

I also believe (but not 100% sure), that solid mounts or even harder mounts than stock will help to prevent wheelhop.

I just had the motor rebuilt about 8 months ago. I just bought a bushing kit so that will be on next week along with some new Diff mounts. The motor mounts are stock replacements. Plus now im starting to feel a little bang in the rear everytime i shift so i parked the car till i can get it to the shop next week.

Probably the differential mounts are gone and the rear end is hitting something because the mounts arent holding it in place.
