Rotary Ressurection S5 n/a tuned by Rotary Perf - 185whp
So last July I popped the motor during a 110F track day, cracked the plastic t-stat neck and melted the coolant o-rings.
Kevin Landers @ Rotary Ressurection originally built the motor in 2004. It was tuned & dynoed at a stout 158whp May 2012. Mods included 'aux port' streetport, RB race header, full RB exhaust, Rotray Performance tune via 1st gen SAFC.
I shipped it back to Kevin (discovering in the process the Pineapple Racing aux port inserts were loose and boucing around). He finished the '6-port streetport', rebuilt it using the same apex seals etc as they showed very little wear.
Took it back to RP with 300 miles on the rebuild. In additon to the above mods it now has Atkins aux port inserts, and slightly smoothed the entrance to the RB header, and RB steel flywheel.
On a nice brisk 50F day, it made a stout 190whp! this was running afr's around 13.5. Chris added a little fuel to get the afr into the 12's, resulting in a still very strong 185whp. This is all stock IM including un-modified TB. This equates to around 215 e-shaft HP, 55hp over stock, 10-15hp more than the 1990 TII.
Thanks to a most excellent job (again) by Kevin @ Rotary Ressurection and Rotary Performance in Garland TX. Time to take this little monster to the track and hunt down some ponycars

Very impressive
I would like to know what exactly has been done port wise to have an idea of what awaits me with my NA 6 port race motor
So just the aux ports modified with atkins inserts ? No secondarys/primarys exhaust ports modified ?
I assume high comp rotors as you say its a S5 motor, so it should also have the S5 DEI intake.
Impressive what an properly tuned NA motor is able to put out
Mine is fully ported/lightened/balanced (streetport) Primarys/Secondarys/Aux ports - No inserts. S5 rotors.
ITBs, Haltech, 2x ID850, ceramics & a real exhaust, interesting what that beast might put out o.O

3rd gen housings
S5 high comp rotors
stock balance/clearance
Kevin @ Rotary Ressurection uses Atkins 2mm rebuild kits
'Street Port' on all 6 ports
stock air pump actuating 5/6ports (it works, it's free, why mess with it)
Atkins aux port inserts
T2 fuel pump
SAFC gen 1 for fuel curve
Cone Apexi filter
RB 'race' uncollected header, Jet Hot coated (one of the best $200 investments!)
full RB exhaust
removed a/c and ps
stock spark plugs
MSD wires - about 30k on them, test fine
CDI ignition Mallory HyFire 6
PLX wideband
10w/30 Castrol GTX
Redline synths in tranny and diff
RB steel flywheel
Center Force dual-friction clutch - awesome, soft around town, stiff @ high rpms
It has Mishimoto 160f t-stat but this keeps the engine so cold it was running in 'warm-up' mode, failing to activate the aux ports. So Chris @ RP turned off the blower while the car was on the dyno, let it heat up a bit. 180F+ the ecu was happy and opened the aux ports consistantly. So this weekend the stock 185f t-stat goes back in.
I might try modded TB and extrude-hone the IM, I wonder if this would get it to the magic 200 number.

No idea on the correction factor(s) applied. We're at about 500ft elevation, about 50f and 40 humidity.
This one shows 7500rpm, he ran it out a bit higher on the previous graph to catch the peak.

Thanks for the list
Thats an almost flat torque curve ! Where comes that bump at around 5250 rpm from ?
BTW my stock S4 NA (150k km) measured 136 RWHP on a KW vs KMH dyno. Anyone interested in a scan ?
Edit:
I corrected the histogramm on the second dynosheet posted, so that I actually can see whats printed on it
You want a copy ?
