I usually launch between 5-5500 rpm.
Your right on the drag radials. Going on street tires suck the best 60' I could pull was 2.1. Launching on the drag radials feels so much better.

that and do you have any problems running a atomsphereic BOV? or did you get rid of the AFM.

Congrats, and it's good to know what's possible with a 108 trap speed.

Nice run...

255/50/16 is an awefully big tire compared to stock.
Are you able to stay in 3rd gear through the traps?
Or are you shifting into 4th?

Yeah I'm getting close to maxing the injectors. I have plans of going bigger so I can turn the boost up a little.

The tires are big for the stock wheels and a little to tall, but they have worked so far. A great improvement at the strip. I only run them at the strip then swap rims again before I go home. Trying to run on the strip on 17's is futile.

I am in 4th at the end and I shift around 7,000.

You dump it at 5500? Haven't broken any rear ends? Or you just feather it out fast?

dude its pretty hard to break TII rearends...

nice run! needs more powershifting though. you prolly coulda had atleast a 12.7 powershifting... and as far as the 108mph, not bad... i actually trapped the exact same (i think 107.8 or something) on my t04 "stage1" hybrid.

nice!

Rearends hold up on street tires, but if you dump the clutch with radials or slicks at 5k....thats a bit much :P

I'm sure someone continually dumping the clutch at 5500 on some M/T or other slicks would probably break a rear end eventually. Nice runs.

It's a ford 8.8" rear, they won't give you any problems with anything less than 450+hp.
The car looks really really nice, I love the cap for the TII hood.

I always try to launch around 5500 now, but I'm still going to experiment. I used to rev lower but I would bog more often then actually launch. I also have a lightened flywheel so maybe that has something to do with it.

I haven't had a problem yet with the rear end. Cross my fingers and hope it holds up.
