First trip to the track with the T2 - 15.0 @ 92 ugh
I am pretty upset with the figures I put up, but the car was running horribly all day, and I was having problems keeping it running.
Car broke at about 3/4 track on the first run, and ended up clocking a 16.3 @ 66mph.
I only managed to get one other run in, launched terribly (on nearly bald radials), with a full tank of gas, and the car running like ***.
Reaction: 0.451 (pro tree)
60ft.: 2.348
ET: 15.059
MPH: 92.030
(that's all the information our stupid track gives).
It was about 30 degrees celsius (hotter at track level), which probably didn't help either.
Oh well, next time.

my run was also my 1st ever on my TII also me chirping the tires through the 1st 4 gears didn't help either. mods were.......... RP 2.5 DP,Gutted Cat, RP FCD and ACT 4 Puck Bronze with Extreme PP.

why are you guys so quick to point at a rebuild? a worn engine wont stall at WOT. The big puffs of blue smoke are likely from a blown turbo oil seal. the problem keeping it running could be a bunch of things though. do some research before you spend a lot of time/money on somthing that may not need fixing.

Please throw away those bald tires.
For some odd reason, people think bald tires will give them better traction, but it doesn't.
When tires wear, the sticky rubber disappears, and you're stuck with crappy rubber that's used to bind the sticky rubber to the rest of the tire carcass.
This intermediate rubber is NOT designed for traction; it's soley designed to keep the tires from falling apart.
As for the car running like *** at half track...I think a hose or clamp blew.

I would have thought the hose/clamp as well, but I got a full run in later, without even checking them.

Perhaps you hit boost cut? I wouldn't be suprised if this were the case, I would occasionally hit boost-cut in 3rd gear on my tired TII with a drop in K&N filter as the only mod...
I think a 15 for your car is pretty good. Not to mention you'd run a much better time with just some better tires/launch.

LOL, whats wrong with you?
Your car runs like crap but you run it down the track then you bitch about bad times. Yeah...lol....
So your gonna rebuild it anyway...but if you blow the engine your rebuild costs go up fast....

You can get a lot more traction on street tires if you carry your burnout past the water box into all the sticky rubber left on the pavement by the pro cars, if they were sharing the strip.

(that's all the information our stupid track gives).
It was about 30 degrees celsius (hotter at track level), which probably didn't help either.
Oh well, next time.
