Talking finally run and dyno my car

i got a 87 turbo II with a turbo back racing beat exsaust, bosh fule pump, 10mm plug wires and nkg plugs, permacool e-fan, greddy BOV, racing beat springs with tokiko shocks, and a new 13b from atkins with a full street port and 3mm apex seals. yesteday i dynoed my car and i got 230hp at the wheels and about a week before i ran it at the 1/4 and i hit a 13.7 at 103mph. i am soo proud of my lil baby... rotorys unite...

Yea something isnt right. Did you break in the engine properly? 17psi is alot on the stock turbo let alone a basically stock fuel system.

No it sounds right. He has the stock intercooler(heater) so after say 13psi or so it does nothing but heat the air more and more. I bet he could gain quite a bit with a good fmic. But if thats the stock turbo be prepared to get another one or that one rebuilt soon.

Maybe... he could probably make the same or more power at a lower psi like 12psi. It's probably making more heat than power at 17.

Well beyond the stock turbo's range. Turn down the boost and you won't even notice a difference and save yourself from losing the turbo.
