20G turbo HBP high comp 1/8 mile.

I ran my car at the local 1/8 mile track last night. I only got 1 run on the track, and their prep is crap, I hook much better on the street. It was a big event, so no slips were being given out, but I ran an 8.4@88mph. They were also allowing some of us to run "street drags" on the road course straight away, which was fun as hell

Here's a vid from my friend's gopro. He has a 4th gen Fbody 6spd with a turbo on it. I launch pretty decent, but can't get into 2nd. It wasn't a clean run by any means, but still a blast. I also ended running another Fbody after the track, he had a stalled auto and bit DR's in the back with a 150 shot. I bogged on launch and ended losing by 3 cars.

My mods:
S5 T2 HBP irons by BDC
S4 NA rotors
Greddy 20g turbo kit
ebay intercooler
550/1680cc injectors
255/50/16 MT ET drag radials
11 psi, I would run more, but the fuel pump is limiting me.

Pic with the drag radials:

And how it usually looks:

And engine bay:

PS, I know the car is hideous.

What intercooler are you using for your sandwich mount? I was thinking about using a evo one...

That it is! It loves the new home. (for now that is). I chopped the wastegate off and threw a tial 46mm in its place. Can't wait to turn the boost up to 15. I just don't trust this FD pump to supply the fuel as it was running out of steam before a rewire, however it now has a full 2 volts more.

The intercooler I have is this one: (Or pretty damn close) http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=INCO

Pretty damn quick. I haven't gotten any clean logs that show spool, but it's about 3.5k in 1st and 2nd and a bit sooner in 3rd. 5th gear I'll hit peak boost at WOT around 2800 rpm.

The only thing i don't like is there seems to be a bit of lag on throttle transitions (like mash the gas, waite a sec, then boost) I'm sure I can tune most of it out, but I haven't had too much time to mess with it yet. It's really noticeable when you let off the throttle to shift, but that's a non-issue with flat-shift hooked up. I don't think I'll own another boosted car without flat-shift, it makes a HUGE difference.

^It does boost early, but it doesn't seem to matter until a higher RPM... But after 4500RPM that thing will move.

Here's a couple logs I just pulled. First one is 2nd gear from about 3k, Ignore the fact the tps shows only ~80% as it is bad (Throttle input doesn't actually change through the pull) I need to switch tps sensors and recal the accel enrich (as you can see on afr's, they go hella lean for a bit right after giving gas)

Next one is 1st, 2nd, and a bit of 3rd. I accidentally let off in between 1st and 2nd, you can notice the difference in boost from there to the next shift.

They are getting to be a rare breed. A little update, I found that the bolt that secures the ECU grounds had backed out a hair, and was soaked in oil (pretty sure my oil filter housing is leaking) Turns out Megasquirt is very susceptible to grounding issues.

I ran a GT500 tonight from a 25 roll. I stayed dead even with him up to about 130. We did a dig, but I couldn't get the car into 2nd. I was about a car ahead of him too. I'm pretty impressed with how it currently sits, but I have a new FPR on the way, and I'll scrounge a pump up, then add a few lbs of boost and really have fun.

Finally went back and got this gem. (Left lane) It took a few tries, and I ended up adding half a degree of timing in boost, and I picked up 2mph by doing that. I still wish I could get the 60's down into the 1.7 region, but oh well.
