1st time 1/8th mile is this good?

well it was my first time out in the track since i was NA. so this is my 3rd time dragging. (im still a newbie).

well i ran a 5.0 mustang that was said to be stock with drag tires. i ran with some 15" drag tires i borrowed as well(my first time using drag tires). my mods are in my sig.

this is wat i got.

me 5.0 mustang

R/T ... 1.442 R/T ... 1.143
60' ... 2.236 60' ... 2.198
330 ...6.323 330 ... 6.193
1/8 ... 9.548 1/8 ... 9.451
MPH ... 76.77 MPH ... 75.70

Right 1st .3969

well did i do good? i know i can do better, because im still a newbie at dragging. wat should 1/4 mile times be according to this. i feel as if in the 1/4 mile i can do better, because i was catching up in 3rd gear but that is when the 1/8 ends so i know on the 1/4 mile i can pull more.

your launch is pretty bad, your 60ft should be way better than that. How were you launching? And your R/T is crazy slow!

2.23 was the best i could ever do in my NA. and i only ran a 9.8

i'd consider that very good for an NA. with a 2.0 60ft you could run a nice 9.2 or so (low 14's in the 1/4 mile)

I ran a 9.8 on a glazed clutch so I had to let off the gas to grab the clutch but managed.
I had a 2.1 60 foot

i want to try 1/4 mile next, because i know i can pull in 3rd gear. i should make up for my slow reaction

next is either califronia speedway or lacr, maybe the closer one.. which is california speedway

Launch higher. You'll get wheel spin but unless it shoots your tach up into the red just keep on it.
