the car made 430 @ 12lbs & 478 @ 17.3lbs at 7300rpm. would have gone more but the jacobs ignition isnt giving enough spark to the motor. so im probably going with 2msd's Ill post the vid & the dyno sheet later

She's on the road and running like a raped ape . Feels like quite a bit more than 400 rwhp at only 15 psi, I'm trying to get fine tuning and dyno time but my tuner is a busy guy and the weather here hasn't been really cooperating.

What plugs are you running when the jacobs is crapping out? Also, why do you think the HK$ is junk?

NGK iridium bre10 on all 4's

when steve came to tune the cars we had 3 with the hks ignition system and 2 out of the 3 ignitions were breaking up (400+ hp cars) the one that wasent breaking up was pushing 361hp. IMO if your making upwards of 400hp i wouldnt recommend the twin power

Interesting, that's the first time I've really heard anything bad about the twin power. It seems that it may have it's limitations in some cases.....

firstly, nice numbers. congrats, that's a ton of hp on modest boost.

my reason for posting is i am a Jacobs fan and want to know more about your spark problem...

which Jacobs box are you running? is it just running the leading plugs? what coil/s are you running? what plug wires?

i run two FC3000 amps w two MSD 8253 coils and MSD superconductor wires. i run NGK 6725 10.5 plugs w about 1200 cc of methanol injected. i have run down to 9.0 AFR with absolutely no miss.

if you compare specs on amps between any msd and the jacobs FC3000 you will see the Jacobs puts up better numbers. are your wires shielded?

if i had the connection to the videocamera to hook up to the computer you could see that when we did the 480 pass once it hit 6000rpm's it hesitated for a second, then a really big flame came out.

one jacobs FC2000, stock coils, msd wires. I do run alcohol injection but it doesnt help the spark problem. you are right though the jacobs is superior to alot of ignition systems ill probably be running 2 & see the results. No there not shielded!

hows your car running considered your running 2 jacobs boxes & how much power did you make

what alcohol system are you running?

it missed and then cleared and ran without a further miss?

the first thing i would replace is your stock leading coil. it just isn't enough for your power level and the alcohol. what AFR are you running?

i am in wisconsin so currently my car is up on jackstands and all apart... actually not the engine. this winter is a double disc clutch, much bigger brakes and wheels etc. sort of an easy winter.

i haven't dynoed it yet (march 07 when the snow clears). the last 2 times out.... i was in 3rd gear rolling into a logged run at 59% tps, 70 mph around 17 psi and the car just went sideways. 18X10 285s on the back w 53% rear weight and 27 psi. i dropped tire pressure 2 pounds and at the same spot on the log the clutch (exedy hyper single cerametallic) let go.

i run two TO4s that make 84 lbs/min and 1200 cc/min of alcohol. my target is 640. we will see.

i am very impressed w your power and would like to know more about your alcohol setup etc.

I was asking because it's silly not to run it when you are dynoing. Blowing up on the dyno happens fairly often, and the meth inj is a great anti-detonation device.

I'm running a straight 4 inch turboback exhaust with a pair of magnaflow mufflers, one in the middle and one in the back .

HKS unit crap? Many 500rwhp+ dyno sheets out there with this system plus the twin power and colder plugs. My did fine to mid 400's. That is the first I have heard of them having issues..

But great numbers.. That may be the most power I have seen at 12psi!
