Yeah, check the FAQ in the 3rd gen section. There is a section that tells you where you can get factory parts at discounted prices - Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda

We can supply you with the SuperPro Bushings that have become quite popular. Shoot me a PM and check out their product listings on TEin's website.

Have you tried talking to Wanklin?

You might seriously want to consider getting a professional to look at it. Doesn't necessarily need to be an RX7 specialist just a good mechanic that knows suspension and drivetrain. Seems like you've been throwing money and parts at it w/o really diagnosing what the problem is.

Are you near Banzai Racing at all?

Reading that thread again makes me think it might be bushings but which ones is hard to determine w/o actually driving the car and looking underneath. I doubt its the clutch. It could also be that the gas tank baffles are broken and making noises as you move the car back/forth at low speeds (happened to me recently). There are a lot of different things it could be but its hard to diagnose exactly what w/o seeing the car in person.

It sounds like the car is almost there so hang in there and be smart about buying parts. Too many people just throw parts at the car and wind up pissing away lots of money unnecessarily.

I'm thinkin of takin my car to the local body shop to hoist the car up and get to the root of this problem...I just dont want htme tryin to dick me with outrageous prices...I hear mazda bushings are expensive as hell and am lookin for some aftermarket bushings if thats what the problem is...I cant seem to find anyone who sells bushings beside tein.com and im not sure what I need yet so its hard to determine an estimated price...I wish someone around my hometown has an fd...i think the next closes people are the rx7store in coloumbus but thats still a 2.5 hour drive...especailly in the clunking car...

fyi, the poly bushings do not replace ALL of the stock pillow *****. They replace the inner rear A-arm bushings and shock bushing but not the others that are often the culprit around clunking suspensions. Look at Wanklin's diagram carefully.

From what I understand, there are no aftermarket replacements for the stock pillow ball bushings. They are about $65 each.

Pillowball bushings are readily available from Mazda, you can get a full set of six with new seals and C-clips for $360 from Ray at Malloy Mazda. There are numerous places to get aftermarket bushings for the rear suspension - Rotary Performance, Pettit Racing, there was even a group purchase on this forum....
