Like all things you will find good and bad about them. They had some problems in the past, but I heard they fixed them.

The same might go for a lot of wheel companies though.

If it were me, I would be willing to maybe risk that with 2500-3300 dollar set of wheels. Not a $5000-6500 dollar set of wheels like HRE.

WHAT MIATA MX-5 SAID.

Fikse, HRE, and then your Japanese counterparts are good also. SSR, Work, etc....

I'll find something for you now that I know yu have quite a large budget.

how long are you willing to wait?

im looking at the j line 7rl2 wheels they seem to be able to make an 18x12 and paint the lip gloss black as well as make flat black spokes. very similar to the iforged sprints that i showed on a black GTR in a past post.

J Line = I forged.

If you dont wanna deal with 1, don't deal with the other.

SSR and Works will take 3 months wait if you don't mind waiting and you like the styles.

The US wheels will take a little less to make their wheels.

I'm hearing from a few vendors that Vince the owner of i forged and the guy that owns jline are apprarently not the best buds. Im not saying your wrong I'm just not convinced that they are the same company a lot of people are saying the two owners are acatually enemies. apparently though j line and iforged did have one thing in common. Apparently j line and i forged use to use the same materials from the same supplier but apparently i forged switched to a lower grade aluminum which could explain why they are having so many complaints from customers about their wheels.

well not to **** off miata mx5 but im ordering j lines. the 7rl2 is very similar but im getting a 3 peice which according to the owner these are first three peice set ever made! so thats kind of cool! i just need the offset.

Mahjik are you sure it is +18. not trying to second guess you because i have no idea even how the formula works for finding offset but i want to make sure i dont pay a lot for some wheels i can use.

Also does anyone know if I can fit an 18x9 up front without loosing the liner or modification?

by the way thanks a lot from everyone who posted, this thread has really helped me.

Yes. The owner of that car lives near me although I haven't seen his car since the flares have been added. He posted the specs of the rear wheels in the thread I got the picture from... Judging by his photo, you could go more aggressive for a 12" wheel in the rear if you wanted.

You can fit a 9" wheel with 255's up front with just rolling the fender.

they wouldnt fit with the fortune kit either. i had 19x11.5 on my fortune rx7 with 315/25/19's and it was really pretty perfect i think a 335 would have rubbed.

Which shop did you order the Jlines through? You need the owners secret contact info. lolz.....

I think what Miata_mx5 was implying is that a lot of these SoCal 3 piece wheel companies use the same manufacturer for barrels and probably even machining of the centers. While they might not be related, from a manufacturing facility they might be. If one company has untimely manufacturing they probably all do.

i put in the order through themodcity.com great guys excellent customer service. I decided to go ahead and drop the jline wheel order and go with iconz wheel line. they are going to make a custom set for me and the mod city is eating the cost difference since i ordered in october and still no wheels. now i just have to figure out how to fill out the wheel fitment info guide from iconz. i was told that for petit flares on an fd with a 18x12 wheel the offset is +18 in the rear but apparently a lot more info is required. I'm really confused
