Which swaybar to buy for FD?
I'm in the market for buying some swaybars for my FD but I don't see many to choose from. I want something that can be adjusted. Let me know what you guys think.

I put on a set of the Racing Beat springs last year (this year), and have been asking myself why I didn't do it years ago!
They definitely improve the handling of the car. I am running the rear on the "stiffest" setting, and the tail is definitely more eager to step out, but the car is much more fun to drive.
The front Racing Beat swaybar is a monster
I am very pleased with them, plus they were very easy to install

What do you plan on using the car for? Track, daily driving?
If you are serious about tracking your car and want to do it right then the Tripoint bar.
If you are just looking to spend some cash then upgrade the sway bar bushings and call it a day

I have the TriPoint hollow adjustable "speedway" style bar with adjustable end links and Widefoot billet CNC mounts. This retail would be about $1500 and is about the best front sway bar you can buy for an FD. This is a full race setup but can easily be driven on the street.
I love the sway bar and the car handles phenominally (see sig). I haven't really messed with the adjustment settings; however it does sit rather low under the car. I have only scraped it once and that was with a bump of freshly laid gravel on the road with a dip before it. Gotta love San Francisco streets....
If you don't plan on racing this bar is total overkill.

Rear Swaybar
I made a custom adjustable "speedway" style rear bar to go along with the Tripoint front bar. It is 1" and 0.250" wall thickness. There are 2 positions to adjust, and you can buy smaller wall thickness bars. I found that for autocross, it is too stiff in sharp turns and lifts the rear wheel of the ground briefly allowing the torsen to slip. It did provide good handling otherwise, and if you are doing track events or have a clutch style limited slip it would work well. $100.

Swaybars
I went on tripoint's website but I didn't find one for the FD. I probably have to call them. Anybody know how much it is? does it come with all bushings?

Oh and btw, RE Amemiya makes what they call a "stabilizer bar." Forgive the noob (me ) but it looks to be upgraded swaybar mounts + a bar stabilizing the mounts themselves...and still allows the use of stock/upgraded sway bars. Am I correct? (Isn't the black bar right under the RE bar the stock front swaybar?) What do you guys think of the design?

Like the ST front bar, it is 1.25" solid steel, no adjustments. Puhn formula yields about 1500 lb/in for a bench test. That's 2x the oem bar rate. Correcting for spring location, RB front bar gives extra 1200 lb/in spring rate vs 600 with stock bar ... that's for single wheel hit. For body roll, the bar bench rate is doubled, for 2400 lb/in added spring. So if stock 280's springs, you now have 2680 effective rates at each corner for anti roll, but corners are now less independendent. Hit a bump on outer front on a corner and both front wheels will react. Single wheel rate is 1200+280 = 1480 combined RB bar and oem spring.
Better front suspension would use oem hollow bar (like 1200 lb springs in roll) and 800 lb coil overs, for 2000 lb/in roll control rate per corner. Single wheel rate would be 280 + 1200 = 1480 combine, but much more independent controlled suspension vs with the monster bar.
1/8" wall 1.25" tripoint adjustable, and hollow 19mm RB rear would work well with right coilovers.

I built custom mounts from steel tube for my car. They are stock height but have a completely different bottom footprint so I can bolt the Tripoint bronze bushings on directly without Tripoint's extra braces. Bulletproof and cheap. I refused to pay a couple hundred bucks for what I have $25 worth of materials in.

The bar's not that expensive (compared to say, other RE parts haha), and compared to the Widefoot upgraded mounts ($150 - $180 w/ the group buy). The RE bar's a lil over $200, but add onto it taxes, shipping, Customs fee (which, according to RE is 30% ), etc you're looking at about $375 realistically to have it in your hands when all's said and done lol. Yep. The design is very efficient from a structural standpoint as the added tube between the mounts keeps them from twisting or rocking where they attach to the chassis (which is the big problem with the stock Mazda mounts).
Only one minor issue with that design. It is not legal for stock class autox competition because SCCA rules specifically state that the sway bar mounts cannot be tied together. The rules allow aftermarket sway bar mounts, but they cannot be attached to eachother. Anyone not autoxing in an SCCA stock class won't care and would be very happy with mounts such as the RE Amemiya ones I am sure

Suspension Setup
Obviously there is some good discussion's as far as what to do. I'd like to get the Tripoint Swaybar. Question. Can you use the stock mounts?if no, I'd like to see how Damon has setup his so I can mirror his. I'd like to get rid of some of the roll without sacrificing the independent suspension. I have some pretty strong springs. I have the Tein HT with 20/1119
RS200-A1150 1119lb/in spring rate.

Tripoint with std bushings use stock mounts, but stock mounts should be upgraded with widefoot, prior blue ones, RB plate, or other methods.
Tripoint Front with 1/4" or 3/16" thk tubing, and RB rear bar. With 20kg springs, I'd stay with std front bushings.

I sincerely doubt you need any more anti-roll built into the front end, unless you are just looking to tame that seriously wicked oversteer you're going to have.

Front Swaybar
I'm actually not to worried about the front sway bar. I really feel the roll in the rear. I still feel it in the front. That's why I want to make sure that I have the adjustability.
