we need more reviews from people who actually have these
quality seems to be there, but who knows in the long term...actually only thing i'm really worried about is if i will hate the 9kg/7kg spring rates on my drive to work!!
i'm sure it's nice on the track, but i'm only doing that every few weekends

What's up guys. I been working with stance on testing these coils on each of their applications. A client picked these up direct from stance for his evo, he was kind enough to come by the office the other day so i could beat on his car for a while.

To say the least we were very impressed with the ride quality of them. I'm waiting for the complete next shipment of stance coils to come in. I know we're ordering several sets and should have a monopoly on the FC ones. We're gonna be brining in a couple FD sets as well for inventory.

We are a distributor and work with Touge/VS/Origin/Stance, lolz.

I can't say myself how they are on a FC, but they intrigued me on the EVO. I was very very happy.

I mean monotube, camber plates, warranty, and good valving.

If you wanna be a guinea pig hit me up and you'll get yourself a very special deal, the FC's are practically sold out. There are some FD's available possibly.

Thanks, Rishie

Eww, on the bottom of the damper? What is the purpose of that, does anyone know? I mean, why would they put the adjuster on the bottom, where you have to get down on the ground/dirt and grime can get on there and maybe mess something up/someone can possibly mess with it, depending on how low you have the car/etc.? Otherwise I'm pretty much sold on these, just seems like a poor place to put the adjuster, I'm not crazy about that. And they DO come with 9k/7k rates or is it 8k/6k like they said in the response?

Oh, and OC, have you stopped by the facility yet?

That is only for Macpherson strut applications and will always be this way for inverted dampers. This is not a bad thing. It's just something you gotta live with. I can request either spring rate oyu desire.

FC inverted fronts,
FD non inverted front and rear = double wishbone

Thanks, Rishie

all inverted struts of similar type i have seen have had the adjusters on the bottom, it's not really a big deal.
the inverted strut design has its advantages over normal in most applications.

If these coilovers are as good as they are hyped up to be than I'm definetly In. Of course, I need coldfire to be the guinea pig, seeing how he's from my neck of the woods. j/k

Rishie and coldfire, I didn't realize this was normal for inverted struts. That's cool then. Rishie, what did you mean about "FD, inverted or not inverted"? I thought it was inverted for all of them.

inverteds would be kinda pointless on an fd seeing as the shocks dont take any load,..

That's not true, inverted would provide the benefit of reducing unsprung weight, as then instead of having the whole shock body moving, only the shaft would be moving.

Ya since the Shock is not load bearing, ie. Double wishbone, it won't make any sense typically to have a inverted damper.

Let me know when you guys want this stuff I'll totally hook it up until we have enough positive reviews on the boards from people in different areas.

Thanks, Rishie

Hell yeah Rishie, I'm in. If possible I'd like to get 10kg/mm front and 8kg/mm rear spring rates though, but will that be bad for them since they're valved for 12/12? If you just put them in with the wheels when they come in, I'll paypal you the rest for the wheels and these, and I can get them all at once. Cool?

So typically manufacturers recommend staying within 2kg front and rear of the supplied spring rates. So suggestion would be to go 10k/10k at the lowest for the FD if the rates are 12k/12k. I can't exactly put them in the wheel boxes, lolz, but it should make shipping cheaper if shipped together.

Thanks, Rishie

Rishie, any idea of available spring rates for the FC coilovers? they don't really say on the website. i agree staying within 2kg is a good idea (remember that this mean you will be more restricted to the lower part of the damper adjustability range). so are you saying available rates are 6k,7k,8k,9k etc, or...? it's nice if they are all round numbers but i usually see like 6.3k, and what not.

thanks
- Aaron

Well yeah, haha, I wasn't talking about putting them IN the same box, haha. If you could just ship them together, that'd be great. And I guess 10k/10k will work, I guess it'll have to, haha. Thanks Rishie.

lol. I was totally gonna do that. In fact I was gonna try and use an enevelope to try and save on postage. hehe.

So guys I'll start posting more on this thread and the others as well once we try them. At this point I don't want to clutter it with much more than the basic facts. I'm compiling a group of guys who have been kind enough to "guinea pig" these at a "special" price in exchange for feedback and such.

I've created a thread in our subforum for other volunteers. I will be looking for about 5 guys for each application. Guys who are hopefully in different parts of the country and honestly have different uses for their cars. I'm looking for the family guy whose wife rides in the car occasionally. The guy who autox soloII, as well as club roadraces. You know, street only, street and track, track only. Then various parts of the country as road conditions will obviously vary. This information will allow me to better recommend setups for you guys. Data is my friend.

If you wanna test them out please click below. I've got a couple FD guys and a couple FC guys as well as myself. I think I only have one FC set left. FD I gotta find out how many more are coming.

Thanks, Rishie

Darn you and your deals! I want a pair but I'm currently at my university and don’t have the money to get them. Now, if you had this deal during the summer months when I have a paying job....

You finish school you can buy as many damn cars and toys as you want. OMG, I'm starting to sound like my parents. **** this turning 30 thing is really scaring me. lolz.

i'm in the same boat. engineering undergrad. i work as a summer student May-August so i earn money and spend some on my car at that time.

well Rishie these are still near the top of my list from everything i have seen so far. i can definetly provide feedback from the point of view of a Canadian who has to drive his car to work on **** roads, and then go to the autocross/road course on weekends.
i'm just doing lots of research on coilovers in this price range, as you can tell, so come May when i start working again i should be picking up a set shortly after.

I too am an engineering undergrad with little money to spare. These coilovers are interesting, but I just can't afford anything that expensive now, and I'm much to weary about using an unproven coilover.

When you get yours in I'd love to be able to see some shock dynos of them. Please? That would go a long way to convincing me that they are worth buying.

Well, I went with the 8k/6k setup. It might be just right, otherwise I can just change out the springs. Anyway, I called Rishie directly to have this a silky smooth transaction as I had anticipated It would be. Rishie was definetly a pleasure to deal with. I'll be receiving them sometime In April. So until than I'm doing my part to keep this thread alive.

I think FC's are sold out now and the next shipment after April would be May.

Thanks, Rishie

I'm one of the guinea pigs as well for the FD portion of this experiment and just thought I'd drop a line to keep this thread alive for other potential guinea pigs.

Rishie, they are still coming sometime in mid April right? Also, do you carry the 10kg springs for these coilovers if I decide to go lighter on the back?

To all the engineering undergrads out there, I know your pain as I was going thru the same struggles myself a few months back. Just hang on tight for a bit longer and things will be bright, trust me.
