Solid Engine Mounts
Anyone using solid engine mounts???
If I install these is there going to be a lot more vibrations... one of standard mounts in car is buggered so have to replace anyway..
Cheers. W

go for it man i have the solid mount with out the bushings like the ones in the picture but if you can stand a rx7 with coil overs it is not that much of a ''rattle'' in the car
but i am only useing the sloid motor mounts and a racing beat comp diff mount with stock replace ment tanny mounts you still want to have somme play in the drive line.
also the take off is SO MUCH better but stalling is alot easier (with the solid mounts)

Go for it!
I read all these complaints about solid mounts and vibration....rubbish. My driver side engine mount had no nut on the bottom , and the pass side was sheared in half. So I replaced them w/ MMR derelin mounts (did the trans mounts at the same time) and its great!
No more missing 3rd under power because its somewhere it shouldn't be, the car feels much more crisp when being pushed. The only really noticeable increase in vibrations is in lower gears (1,2,3,) above 4k....at which point you're no longer "just cruizing" anyway.
I hear the real vibration comes from solid diff mounts. I got the whole driveline set from MMR, but I think I'm gonna fill the rear diff mounts w/ roofing caulk, replace the stock front mount and get a pinion snubber.

those arent the polyurethane mounts. those are pure soild mounts. Those you have there will feel practically everything.
Trust me polyurethane mounts are less shaky. those you will not like!
