SO3's or BFG T/A KDW?

which would you rather run? mostly just aggresive street driving, speedy high-way runs, etc...

Against KDs, I might get the BFGs, but they are too expensive. Against KDWs, I'll take the S-03s.

Not really an apples-to-apples comparison. A MHP vs. UHP tire? Not really giving the KDW's a chance there, eh?

For your application, well ... duh, S-03's. But, you'll save $250-400 a set (depending on your tire size) if you go with the KDW's. Best-performance-for-the-buck or best-buck-for-the-performance .... your choice. (Actually best-buck-for-the-performance would go to the Yokohama AVSi's ... dirt cheap on closeout, if you can get 'em.)

already checked out the prices for 225/50-16s and 245/45-16s...

S-03's are less than $20 cheaper, at just under @600....

now i just gotta save up some mula

i know it wasn't much of a 'poll', but i narrowed it down to one of the two tires... thanks for the help guys

sure you don't mean BFG KD's as opposed to the KDW? The KDW is more like an RE010 - it's not really a performance tire.

I'd *deffinitely* go with the S-03 before the KDW, but would have a hard time choosing between theS-03 and the KD. I might go KD just because so many people are running the S-03 - it'd be nice to get some more reports on tire performance of the different models.

S-03 over the KDW

Now if we were comparing S-03 to KD, then I'd still go S-03--UNLESS--we were talking track time in addition to road use--THEN--I'd choose KD over S-03!

I run the Kd's and was extremely impressed with there wet weather handeling!! Also am way more impressed than I thought I would be with the grip of these tires. Ran auto-x this weekend, 13 total runs, and I was consistantly within 1/2 sec of the guys running R compound tires. As far as the KDW's go I know little about there handeling, but do know its almost exactually the same rubber compound, just a different tread pattern.
I would personally go with the KDW's, plus I wouldent be caught dead with firestone tires on my car
