Which size tire for my stock wheels

I have stock wheels and want to purchase a set of Goodrich g-Force KDW 2 tires but they only come in the following sizes for 16 inch:

205/40WR16
205/45WR16
205/50WR16
225/45WR16

Pardon my ignorance here, but will any of these fit on the stock wheels? The only size I know that fits is 225 50 16.

Thanks,
Brian

No. There are better tires for the price anyway.

You should read the stickies and learn about tire sizes and what all the sizing info means.

Look for 245/45/16. The Toyo T1-S is a popular brand/model right now.

Ok, just read up a little bit. Is it correct to say that on an 8 inch wheel, the proper tire widths will be 225 to 255?

Stock size is 225/50/16. Many people (including me) use 245/45/16. Either will work fine on stock FD wheels.

I just bought a set of Toyo T1-R's 245/45/16. $590 out the door.

Brian,

I've been using Parts & Polish in Great Neck for tires for a long time. They have great prices, can get almost any tire you want and their mounting/balancing is fantastic. Look them up on superpages.com for the phone number.

I was running 245/45/16s on my old FD.

Cheers.

Thanks for the tip! Parts & Polish gave me a better price on the T1-R installed than I would have gotten by ordering online, paying shipping, and getting them mounted and balanced.
