S5 Power Steering To Non Power Steering

has anyone converted power steering to manual steering in a S5 car before. Is it possible, and if so what do i need to change to make it work?

Or you can de-power the rack like my writeup in the 2nd gen archives. One additon to that though, is to get the input shaft welded to eliminate that 10 degrees or so of slop as shown here: http://forum.teamfc3s.org/showthread.php?t=54847
