-----RSR Springs Saging!!!------

Welp I tried searching but couldn't find too much on this. My RSR springs which are about 10 months old are saging in the rear. They are only supposed to drop the car .4-.6 inches.... well with those springs i can't even stick my finger inbetween the fender and the top of the tire. Thats an approximate drop of like 2.5 to 3 inches from stock. I know this because it was so bad that I had to put my stock springs back on because my rear tiers would rub any time i hit a bump ( I run 275s)

Has anyone else had this problem? Does RSR have any type of guarentee about this? Also what springs shold I get next?

Thanks in advance.

Which RSR springs? From what I have seen, their springs drop more than they advertise (at least for the Race springs).

Well I'd love to say that they are the regular t1 2000 springs but im not posotive. I bought them from Rinkya, a yahoo japan auction bidding service. All I can find on their site now is the ti 2000. The fronts got lowered about an inch but like i said the rear was way lower. I wouldn't mind if it was even but it was too low in the back

as you probably already know... springs takes a good few months to fully settle in. even for coilovers. but 10 months is a long time... if ur ride started to get really bouncy... I would look into the posibility of blown rear shocks...

RS*R makes Down, Race and Ti springs.
I have a set of RS*R Downsprings on my FD and they're pretty damn nice. No complaints here, and the ride's nice and even.

See that looks good! My front height looks like that but my rear left was a little lower than yours and my rear right was maybe 1/8th of an inch above the top of the tire.

But with the stock springs back on the back the heightis even on both sides...

How old are the upper mounts? Have they ever been replaced during your ownership of the car?

upper mount meaning the rubber in between the spring and the top assembly of the suspension? If thats what you mean I'm pretty sure they are the originals..... Could this cause the car to sag that much?

If that was the cause of the problem, wouldn't he have the same problem with the stock springs?

I've seen the problem develop after they have been removed and then reinstalled. i.e. kind of like those problems that are ok until you touch something. IMO, it sounds like a combination of the upper mounts needing to be replaced and the springs lowing the car more than expected.

As I mentioned earlier, on some of their springs, I've seen them lower the car more than advertised. To be honest, I have yet to see a set of springs lower what they said they were suppose to lower.

Might want to also make sure you installed the fronts on the fronts and rears on the rear. They look almost identical

One of my HKS springs failed, as in it sagged far lower than it should have (and far lower than its mate on the other side of the car). It happens. Next time buy them from a reputable vendor....
