really huge wheels,ie 11-13J, suggestions??

Hi there,
I have searched a lot about deep dish wheels-but i havent found anybody with such hugh wheels- and my question is this:
is it possible to fit 11x18 -22 and 13x18 -22 in the FD equipped with origin fenders front and rear? (+25mm and +50mm respectively)
and if so, are there any disadvandages with so negative offset?
thanks,
George

I really dont see that fitting without a lot of negative camber and a very stretched tire. Might work for a show car only, but not practical for something that needs to be driven.

last week I test fitted a 10.5J ET 35 in front..still the wheel was inside the wide fenders so I guess that 11x18 is fine, lock to lock..

Did you have tires on the wheel, or just the wheel itself for the test fit?

Mahjik yes i had tires on, i believe it was a 235/40 or 35/18 and also I recently test fitted a 10.5J ET 35 with 235/30/20 ... , which fitted well, still inside the flares but there were steering problems, lock to lock, as it touches the mud guards.. forgot to mention that i use coilovers..

That's the important thing to mention as not everyone may want to run a 235 size tire on a 10.5" wheel.

Black7Conv,

For those tire sizes this is what you have to do for fitment.

Throw all this other looking for the biggest lip crap out the window. Take this fitment and look at various wheel models to see which Design will produce the largest lip in this fitment.

Now keep in mind not all wheels are made in those widths so that will be one obstacle if budget doesn't allow for it.

Your are running a Grip setup so YOU ARE NOT GOING TO RUN RIDICULOUS CAMBER, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THE WIDEST WHEEL WITH MOST -9999999999999999999999 OFFSET.

You are getting this:

18x10 +20 to +25 front 285/30 front
18x12 +5 to +15 rear 335/30 rear

If you want lip and the "drifter" hippari, style then you will need to make some serious sacrifices which i'm sure Risky Devil can advise you of.

If that's the case and you want some tire width you'll run something like:

18x10 225/40/18
18x11 255/35/18

This will give you a stretched appearance and with negative camber and a good "STANCE" you can get into the +0 and negative offsets. I'm no expert at those extreme FD fitments so I'd contact Origin directly.

Hopefully you have a 20B or V8 under the hood to help move those 60+ pound steamrollers...... you may be getting beat off the line by Smart cars

even with Origin front and rear fenders, the above wheels are still 2 inches over the fenders..
just curious..10x18 and 12x18 -22 is it a nice setup for extra grip on the street?
