What’s the advantage of powder coating them over just a good two-part enamel epoxy?

I guess there wold be no difference.
Using the epoxy would be cheaper.

all depends on what its gonna look like.
Thanks Matt22

Actually taking to a couple of body shops this week, they say they all use VHT paints on wheels,"VHT polyurethane wheel paint is specially formulated to protect wheels from extreme temperatures, salt, sand, brake dust and rocks. It is formulated to resist chipping, fading, cracking and oxidation."

Online I found it at: http://www.racesearch.com But it might be at other places as well.

colors:

Aluminum SP181
Gloss White SP185
Gold SP182
GM Rally Wheel Silver SP186
Satin Black SP183
Gloss Black SP187
Clear Gloss SP184
Ford Argent Silver SP188
