ok decide to get 18, but.....

is 18 too big for 18??? i see alotta FD with 19's in cardomain.com. lol
but then yea... i dont hit the track with the car, i just commute in it, take corner hard once in a while lol

but decide to go with 18x8 all around.

im just worried about my tires rubbing something...
because imma run my 18's with bistein hd shocks and h&r springs...

for the tires ill go with 235/40/18

so this is the spec im going to get

wheels 18x8 5-114.3 +40 offset (front and rear)
tires 235/40/18
bilstein hd shocks and H&r springs.

how bad is this gonna be?? will i rub my tires like crazy??? (really like the look of the 18's onany FD's)

so any good/bad comment will help me a lot
thanks!!!

You asked this already:

Do those wheels come in a higher offset? "KaiFD3S" just posted in the 3rd gen. section on getting 18x8.5 Enkei RP0-1s w/ +45 up front and he's experiencing no rubbing at all.

And BTW, you can go wider in the rear. Most rubbing issues are in the front, not so much in the rear unless you're running wide (10"+) wheels.

You'll be just fine unless you like ramming into steep driveways with full steering lock at 15 mph.

Personally, I would go wider though. You are adding a ton of weight with those cheap wheels, you might as well get a little more grip to at least make it partly worthwhile.

EDIT: I think you need to learn a little bit more about wheels and tires if you are so worried about rubbing with 18s. That's the whole point of "plus-sizing". Look it up at www.tirerack.com

18" aren't any taller or more prone to rubbing than 17's when properly pluss-sized.... There's a wide range of wheel weights between various 17 and 18" wheels... the 18's i just bought are the same wheigh as the 17's they replaced, and are wider as well!... the overall weight ended up lighter due to the use of lightweight tires (many 18" tires are actually lighter than 17" as well)... overall, the package works very well.... Also, i would highly recommend avoiding the ultra low-profile 285/30/18 and 245/35/18 suggested sizes. My ride quality didn't suffer one bit w/ the sizes i used, and the "gearing" issue is way overblown.
