Ohlins R&T - Cut Dust Covers?

Hi guys,

I'll be installing Ohlins Road and Track kit on my FD. The instructions state to cut the bottom end of the dust boot 62mm. Having the dust boot installed without cutting it doesn't appear to show any issues.
Would the concern be that there is too much dust boot material if the shock is fully compressed? Seems odd to cut the nice edge off the bottom of the boot.

Can you do me a favor and post a link/picture of the instructions? I have Ohlins DFV's on my FD and this is the first I've ever heard about cutting dust cover.

Yes. Follow the directions. You can leave them a bit longer than they say
