Buyin tires for my FD Wheels on my FC. Order spacers found here. 20mm front/25mm rear. Car came with KYB Adj and RSR Race Springs (told average 1.6in drop in front and 2.0in in back). Tough time deciding between Toyo TR-1's and Goodyear GS-D3's. Lookin at 245 for the rear. And maybe for the front so I can rotate, but doubt they would fit.

Here are my options, would any of these sizes allow me to rotate my tires?
T1-R: 245/45R16, 235/50R16, 245/55R16
GS-D3: 245/50R16

If I cannot rotate my tires with any of those sizes, I would probably get the GS-D3 (If I get the Toyos in the rear, what would be better for straight line traction 245/45 or 245/55?)and get a smaller size in front. Here are some front sizes for both though, which would be best?
T1-R: 225/55R16, 225/50R16(should be real close to stock height)
GS-D3: 225/55R16, 225/50R16(again ~stock height)

Like I said before, I was set on the GS-D3 245/50R16 Rears and 225/50R16 fronts, but then thought maybe it would be possible to rotate. Maybe someone can pursuade me to go with the Toyos (I am worried about straightline traction on the street). Thanks in advance gurus.

No, still going to hit the fender lip.
Look at the above pic - it's like 4mm difference than your offset.
That's under 1/4" difference.

9.5" in back should run about +35 to +30 of offset to run it under the well.

Are your fenders pulled or just rolled in this pic? I'm Ok with having to roll the fenders I just dont want to have to pull them. The reason I'm so nervous about buying my new rims is because I have read a lot of different peoples opinions and seen pics of their set ups like yours as well as PMed a bunch of people about it too and my biggest problem is that I just put on a set of my buddies 19x9.5 +35 off his 350Z running a 275/35 and when I lowered the car off the jack the quarter panel was resting on the tire. It wasn't even close to clearing and that was on a +35. Now I know that a +20 is even further to the outside but I really want this one rim for my car and it only comes in a +20.

I want to know how hard is it to roll & pull the fender yourself. I know it takes time and patience as well as heat but is it possible to pull and roll it enough without cracking the paint?

this is 9.5 + ~18 with a 235 and about 1.5 degrees of camber. so 255-265 will take a bit more pull

Here's what it looked like with the 9.5 +35 and a 275

mine are pulled out a bit. I hammered on them a LOT on the inside to get more clearance since they tuck under the fender a lot, and just a lip out at the bottom didn't help with clearance at all (and I don't like the way it looks). but I messed up my paint a LOT (of course, I wasn't trying not to since its getting repainted soon).
but if your car is sitting at a decent height, you could probably get away with just the lip out at the bottom of the fender, which is fairly easy to do without messing up the paint...
but still, a 255 on a +22 is going to stick out a bit farther than my 235 in the picture above.
if you really want the wheels, then IMHO you can always make them fit, it just might be hard without messing up the paint... also, you could always drop the tire size down to a 245...

read through some more of this massive thread, seems like 245 are hard to fit up front w/ stock fenders, but some say it will work w/ some set-ups. anyone have any idea if it would be possible w/ my set-up (willing to roll if need be)?

245 w/ 30mm offset is fine up front, with the fender rolled. i went so far as to mount 255's, and used a bat to the stretch the fenders a little bit.

thanks Josh18_2k. Did you have 245/50 and a drop? How much roll? Do you have a pic?

EDIT: Saw your thread in this section. Always liked those wheels, never thought about puttin them on the 7. Very nice.

But still worried about up front w/ the 245/50 and my ~1.6in drop? Don't want to rub on turns, etc?

i've had 40 series sidewalls on all my 17" tires. 50 would defintately be too tall, and rub some stuff

Yes, unless your coilovers gives you added clearance on the inside?

and will the rear fit a 17x9 with a +35 offset with 245/40/R17??
No problem...you can go 255 / 40 / 17 if you want back there.

even though it's on 16in wheels? 245/50R16, not 17. so if 245/50R16 wont fit in front, what about 245/45R16?

EDIT: did a tire calculator. results below, even though i know all tires are not created equal:

245/50R16 --> GS-D3
Sidewall: 4.8 in
Radius: 12.8
Diameter: 25.6
Circumference: 80.6

245/45R16 --> T1-R
Sidewall: 4.3 in
Radius: 12.3
Diameter: 24.7
Circumference: 77.5

255/40R17 --> your tire set-up
Sidewall: 4 in
Radius: 12.5
Diameter: 25
Circumference: 78.6

Maybe this data will help.

thank you for making your charts they have been very helpful, i have had the one above bookmarked for awhile as well as this one. jus want to know if the 245/50R16 or the 245/45R16 will fit all the way around so i can rotate tires. would prefer the 245/50R16 but if they don't fit all around and the 245/45R16 will, then i will have to settle for those. thanks again.

OK, here's a scenario I'm considering... I have a base model, with Eibach Pro-Kit springs (appx .8" drop). 5Zigen FN01R's are avail in the 4x114.3 bolt pattern, in the sizes 17x7 & 17x8 w/ 35mm offset....

If I ran the following combination, would it fit?

Front: 17x7 @ 35mm offset, w/ 215/45 x 17
Rear: 17x8 @ 35mm offset, w/ 245/40 x 17

Alright, one question and I probably didn't look hard enough, but anyways.
Will 16x7 +25 on 225/50/16 fit with RB Spring/AGX Shocks?

245 / 45 / 16 is the recommended size, since the rolling diameter is closer to stock (versus the 245 / 50 / 16).

It'll clear the insides no problem.
I'd worry a little about the fronts getting close to the fender lip.
Be prepared to roll the front fender lip a little.
Rears are not a problem.
