this is the only pic i have, and its not even my car

Alright I think we might have a winner, I found some rota rims for a real good price and was wondering if they fit. They are 17x7.5 with a 45 offset, these would be for a 86 sport with a 1in drop all around.

Stock is 7.0" wide with a +40 offset.
Stuffing 225 / 50 / 16 tires on them will barely clear.
You're 0.5" wider and approximately 1/4" deeper into the wheel well.

Went through MOST of the 60+ pages, couldn't find the exact info but learned how to phrase the question better.
Looking at a set of 17x7s, 44+ offset. Clearing the outside fender isn't a big concern- can I put on a set of 215s and a 5mm spacer and clear suspension? And how close will it be to the stock fender at that point, out of curiosity?

It looks like you picked up something!
The 5mm spacer makes your effective offset = +39.
Stock 7.0" wide rims are +40 offset, so you're basically the same specs as stock wheels.

Laying Down Rotary Law
Guys don't kill me..hehe
but not looking like much fun reading 60+ pages to find this info
but
I'm deciding on getting some 18's for my TII
for show (have racing wheels for the track)
theres this rims that look good
for a damm good price right now
for my car there site says
18x7.5
I called and they make other sizes upto 9.5 wide
with upto a 4" lip
They can not promis anything other then 7.5 will fit
I would like to run 7.5 in the front
and 8..5 in the back
available offsets are 35 and 40
for tires
If that helps
I would probly run
225/40/18 -front
245/40/18 -rear (or maybe even 255/35/18's)
possible to get 18x8.5's out back there?
(offset 35? 40?)
I plan on having the rear fenders rolled
and I have GC coil overs
but not looking like much fun reading 60+ pages to find this info

I used a spacer with my 17 x 9.5 +38mm making it +33mm and it worked great. I also used a 5mm spacer up from 17 x 8.5 +40mm making it +35mm offset and with 1deg NEG they didn't stick out and with RA's it was tight.... I think the RA's diameter on the coil is smaller that of the Flex's
I can try posting a photo or email me

i like the way the rear looks but not so much the front
as i understand the front is 8.5 in that pic and the rear is 9.5
does the look have to do with offset or the width of the wheel?
will a 9 inch 22 offset look like the rear wheel or the front?
do you have a pic of 9" 22 offset wheel?
thanx

Not all wheels do this when you change the offset...
Check out the Volk Racing GT-C with "Face 1" and "Face 2" options...

if they are for show you can rull the crap out of rour fenders and fit a 18x9+0 front and a 18x10+0 rear. strech the tires a bit 225s and s45 will be a nice fit... make your car fit the wheels not the wheels fit the car.

on a side note
am i the only one who things that flush wheels are important? seriously... i mean you guys have some crap fitment. why do you all fear rolling your fenders, you can look that much more pimp if you do
most of these are in the range of a 9 or 10j with about 15 offset

KARHEN: I agree, the fronts offset is wrong for the rears. I should have bought the 8"s +35mm, but I was hoping to get a 235 to fit, which I did, but didn't end up working on the long run (rub'd in corners)
I really hate when manufactures show a photo of the rim and usually its the 19 x 10 w/ 5" lip, well that isn't going to look like the 17 x 9, etc. and you get them and its all wrong. Lips and offsets vary per manu and it does matter the design of the wheel. The bottom line is if you want wheels with an offset and a width, get yer wallet out.

Rolling fenders causes moisture and water to get trapped under the rolled edge -> rust
If you don't care your fenders have the possibility to rust out in a couple years, then go for it.

Being an MR2 guy now, its really huge to roll the fenders and to get the rears to be flush thats what you have to do. The fenders on an MR2 is really thick and I knowone at this point has had rust issues, not saying an RX-7 wouldn't, because they are thinner. MR2's sit different in wheel wells that of an MR2, but to have flush wheels probably isn't the best thing if you wanna run the ride height low, because you won't be able too..
I don't like the appearance when the rear wheels are tucked, but there are alot of things to consider when you do this type of setup

reted and raising arizona, i was talking abou the rpf1 in particualr as that is the wheel i am looking to buy. i was wondering if i get the 9" with 22 offset if it will look like the wheel on the rear of that silver car, or if it will look like the front one. i am looking at the 9 with 22 offset in the front and 10 with 18 offset in the rear.

As far as offset, no a +22mm offset in the RPF1 will have a HUGE lip compared to the 9.5 +38 like tha silver car and I don't think they'll fit. Are you sure they come in that offset? I'm sure you did your home work, but I don't remember that offset at all.
I feel your pain Karhen, you want that certain deep-wide-*** appearance don't-cha???? Hey, lets face it, it looks bang'n, but the FC is really limited.... Ask Rishie what you can get away with. I probably have some of the widest wheels on a stock bodied FC, but I know he has fit 10's (R) and 9's (F) so he's a great reference like RETed too... I know what I have works...
Enkie makes a new RPF1 wheel. Its a 3 piece model and its bioch'n. Rishie has them on his white car... check'm
BTW: Not sure if your into the BB$ look, but I bought the new ASA AR1's for my MR2 (street wheels) and there a bit heavy 21lbs but they look great. Nice 2-3" lip for the 17 x 8's and 9's. I think a guy is selling some 18's on this site.. there cheap too...
