18x8 +10 will fit with a roll, and some negative camber.

225/40 , 235/40 , 245/40
Try staying away from 45 series sidewall, its too tall and
you'll run into fender/tire clearances.

Thanks guys, actually for the rear I meant to type 245/40 instead of 245/45 sorry about that but thanks for your input. For the front I might go with some 20mm wide fenders instead of rolling, that should do the trick correct?

With a 16x7 +45 you most likely wouldn't be able to fit anything more than a 205 wide tire. In order to get the most space in the stock front fenders about a 30mm offset is ideal, letting you run 225's and maybe larger tires.

Alright, dude. Oh, and by the way, stock turboII wheels are like 16x7 +40 or somewhere high around there anyways.

and dude, nearly every single post you make is all biased and favored towards your +30mm offset 17x8 225/45 setup, get over it. What works for you does NOT work for EVERYONE else.

There is a thing called preference, you know.

Don't bother with another argument, lets use this thread productively, hence the reason I made sure to put in detailed information in my thread above.

Anyone else with fitment pics + specs? Post up!

Yea, and a bunch of the time 225's rub on the suspension on stock TII wheels, so going 5mm closer is going to make it worse.

Sure there's preference, but if you want to fit big tires and not just big wheels under stock fenders the fact is there's a small range of offsets that work well, and 30mm just happens to be in the middle of that range, so it's the safest bet for all those who actually want wide tires, not just wide wheels.

haha wow, don't you realize the point of that comment was just to express that wide and low offset wheels CAN fit on an FC, not that they must or are ideal or any of the sort.

BACK TO TOPIC. and lets stay there.

Anyone else with pics and specs to contribute?

The topic is FC WHEEL FITMENT. So commenting on what fits be it wide wheels with a stretch or wide tires squared up on a semi wide wheel is still appropriet, even if someone digs a 15X6.5 50mm offset. so, STFU with your crying, everyone is entitled to THEIR own opinion and if you dont like it or are tired of seeing it, put that person on ignore or get over it. Not everyone likes their car to look like a cartoon and some like performance over looks. Some like a compromise of the two.

That's surprising, since a 225/45/17 on a 17x8 +35 is damned close to the front suspension already, and this has 15mm more tire and 1/2" (12.7mm) more wheel to the inside. What suspension? Any spacers?

skizzle84 you are getting pretty close to a MEXI-flush fitment in front there, yikes.

black91n/a im on k-sport control pro's, and tanabe sways with madatrix adj end links and -4 camber in front and -3 in the rear, i have the rear subframe adj.'r front tcsportline, it great for alighnment and adjustment, the 255's front were tight so i lifted the front a 1/4 inch from where i had it with the turbo wheels. no spacer and no rubbin

-4 camber front? That's not too bad, maybe a little excessive

-3 in the rear is definitely excessive.

Then again, as Skizzle84 mentioned before, people have their own preferences, even if it inhibits their ability to go fast.

I was kinda pissed I didn't get 17x8.5 in the front with a 235 tire, instead of a 17x8 in the front and a 225 tire.

muahaha I know. Dude it was ridiculous before I cambered it out. It stuck out like a sore thumb, a green one at that. The offset for the front wheels were +27 on a 9" wheel, and since I wasn't having any of that nonsense going on, I slapped on the only spacers I had sitting around, the 25mm. Can I just borrow your wide-body, please? Tank you

actually the guys who run stretched tires do so for fitment. it gives them more fender clearance so they can be slammed

heres a couple pics (note non of them are high performance vehicles)

Camber is NOT meant to be used as a wheel fittment tool. There's an optimum setting for every setup, and going away from that will only lead to uneven tire wear and poorer handling. I know it can be used that way, just as a precision torque wrench could be used as a hammer, but that doesn't mean you should.

Well, camber IS used for that now too, so deal with it.

cough preference cough.

ps, this is wheel fitment thread, not "fc wheel fitment that gives the most grip." Go make your own thread and see how well it develops. Seriously though, I mean it.

um, hate to disagree with you skizzle, but fitment usually means proper fitment, not fitment using unsafe shoehorning and stretching of tires. Proper fitment usually being the one that gives you the most grip with a good amount of clearance.

I guess it must be a preference to have to change tires every few months because of excessive camber then.

I feel that excessive toe eats through rubber much more than excessive camber does, I'm just worried about sidewall punctures being that slammed and that much rubber directly under the fender edge.

Less offset in the front than in the back? I guess that's ok if you're going to drive speed limit everywhere, but if anyone who's into performance driving wants to know, those are not the specs to follow. Sure they'll fit, but they will seriously throw off your handling at the limit. I would be afraid to push that car with those tires underneath it, not to put you down or anything, but that's my honest opinion.

I hope in your state, Skizzle, that your fitment isn't illegal because you have tire directly under the fender edge while driving in a straight line. In a lot of states, you could get a ticket for that.

I just want to stress that no proper fitment, especially the ideal tire/wheel fitment ratio will really fit past 8.5 inch width wheel, 235 mm wdith tire, +30 offset with slim coil springs, without requiring overfenders in the front. You can fit more wheel than that if you want, but remember, you'll have to pull some ridiculous cambering and stretching to make it fit.

The ideal wheel/tire relationship can be calculated by finding out the size of the tire you want to stuff in each wheel well.

Say 225, for example.

Subtract 25 from the tire width, then convert to inches. That should be the wheel you put in between the tire.

225- 25 = 200/25.4 ~ 8 inches.

235- 25 = 210/25.4 ~ 8.5 inches

thats fine, look at the center pic i posted earlier (black GS) its not slammed in that pic and is not using neg camber, most guys i know with the "VIP" cars runs air ride so theyre only camber out at slam. when theyre driving at normal height camber is normal. so the only REAL issue is the argument you guys have going on about stretch, but thats personal preference so who cares....
