I think the 9" wide wheel with the 245 is what you're looking for.
The +25 offset should work fine.

i want 17x8 in front and 17x9 in back shooting for 25mm offsets
and whats the highest offset io could use for my FC vert
rear tire 245/40/17 and what for the front?

Highest offset meaning more offset?
8" +32 would be the most offset I would go up front.
9" +38 would be the most offset I would go in rear.

If we're talking about dish, the fronts are already too tight.
You can't go much than the +25 you're shooting for with a 8" wide wheel.
In back, you can go with a +15 on a 9" wide wheel.

ok i read this whole tread and though i knew what i wanted...
obvouisly not ok what is dish size?
and 8" wide up front wouldnt work with a 40+ offset but a 25+ or lower?
like could i use 17x8 up front with a 15+ offset ?
would the 9" rear look better with a 15+ offset instead of a 25+ offset?

"Dish" is how deep the rim lip is from the outside - what you would normally see looking at the wheels.


+32 minimum and anything lower offset will clear the inside suspension - this is assuming 225 wide tire.


Yes, but you run into problems trying to clear the outside fender.


The 9" +15 would give you more dish, assuming identical wheel design, versus a 9" +25.
"Look better" is subjective, but most folks like more dish - so, yes.

so +25 offset up front and +25 rear would almost be flush with the fenders without rubbing the adr's i wanted to get wont custom make offsets for me, i could get a great deal with adrs! but BBS will make any rim they offer to any offset i want. plus 100 per rim iam looking at the RX-II's

+30 offset on a 8.5 isn't tight. I have a 8.5" upfront w/ +40 using Tein flex's... Now thats tight but it doesn't rub period.

Will 245/45/ZR16 Fit all Around. I have Mazdaspeed Coilovers with cusco camber plates. I know they'll fit in the rear. Will a coil-over allow enough inner space up front. Rim is 16x8 BBS RX +38mm offset.

 

No dice on the 245 up front w/ +38. My friend has a 245 up front and I forget his offset.. I think he has a 17 x 9" + 35 w/ 245 and its really close, but he don't care as its a race only car w/ Penske coilovers.. The suspension is so tight that on slolum the front tyres raise off the ground.... and you jack up the car and the wheel doesn't drop at all... neat stuff for the track.

I got my offsets from him...well kinda. +40 17 x 8.5" (sometimes use 5mm spacer) and +33 17 x 9.5" rear.. and thats 235F and 275R... thats about as wide as you can go for street if you care. My car is mostly auto-x and R-race and street as well. Keep in mind tyre manufactures will help too. Some of the Kumho's are real blocky and might rub. I know when I ran Victoracer (DOT) 235's wouldn't work and ran 225, but with the Hoosier's I can run 235 and god if they had a 240 I might even be able to... hope this helps..

 

With my experience, no way this will fit up front.
The problem is that people think the tire will hit the large diameter part of the spring, but if you jack the car up, it's the lower perch that gets in the way - this is where the (stock OEM type) spring is the smallest diameter.

Some aftermarket coilover dampers might give you slightly more clearance, but this is typically minimal.

We haven't been able to get a 17"x8", +35 to fit with a 235/45/17 tire to fit up front, but some others will argue that this is possible.

245's are already a bit too tight up front.
If you're insisting on stock fenders, they will need to be rolled.
If you want to use those wheels with those tire sizes, you're looking at a 10mm spacer up front...

Could somebody let me know which one of these would fit best on an FC? It's all the same wheel, and the company that is selling them offers the same wheel with these different wheel/tire package sizes. I'm just not very bright when it comes to wheels specs, so I would appriciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Umm... The offset wasn't listed. But the wheels are 5Zigen Copse. I looked on some other websites that have the wheels and it seems like it comes with +35 +43 or +48 offset. So if I have a choice between them. What would be the best to go with? Right now I'm at stock ride height by the way, but plan on getting new suspension in the future(maybe with around a 1.5" drop).

 

205/40 are too short, your speedo will be 5.7% off

215/45 would be the correct height and will probably fit fine.

235/45 are a little too tall, your speedo will be like 2% off, width might be a problem.

I would personally run a 225/45/17 in your case. With the right offset they should fit up front with out many issues.

+35 offset is probably best, the others are probably too large and you'll hit suspension components with the FC.
