People pay $240/hr. for my taste, and I think this looks like ***.

Looks like one of those cheap R/C cars from Radio shack where the front wheels are on a solid axle that rotates from a central pivot point.

Ok, so that kind of stuff isn't your cup o tea, but watch this video and tell me he doesn't have car control skills that you don't respect.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQhrdyx_Sk8

The way i see it... whether you like the person's taste and details or not, when they can drive like that, it deserves respect.

I happen to like Haruguchi's car a lot. If I saw a clip of fat_owen or you doing something like that, even though your cars aren't my personal taste, i would undoubtedly show you guys respect.

Sorry, that's off topic, I'm just saying...

yeah man that looks like an rc car allright. rc cars usually weigh 2800 pounds huh. and are like 11 feet long.

people go to barbershops to pay for corn rows too, is that a smart choice?

you ******* pathetic bag of trash, go suck yourself off some more while you take a bath in 240 dollar bills.

Uh, yeah dude, that makes sense.... I really got "owned" with that nugget of logic. I mean, gosh, don't I look stupid for not recognizing that the car is indeed 11 feet long and 2800 and not 11 inches long and 10 pounds. That totally blows my analogy.

Yeah, I'm totally off dude... the look of that car is totally classy and tastefull... why, I see Porsches, Ferrari's, and Aston Martins done-up with wheels hanging out of the fenders and ridiculously too-small tires and badly-fitting fiberglass "aero" add-ons and stickers all over 'em everyday pulling up out front of the Ritz Carlton.

No, but they most certainly ARE a set of goofy 10" wide wheels hanging out of the fenders with 225-section tires away from being Civics.

Maybe it was before you grew pubes, but there WAS a time when FD's were sold right along side Porsches and Lotuses at higher-end dealerships and actually taken seriously, until the FnF crowd with their parent's gold cards got ahold of them.

You know what the HALLMARK of bad taste is? The notion that more is always more or better. It's the reason pople end up with plastic jockeys and wagon wheels in their front yard.

Yeah, I can agree to that.

But on the other end of the spectrum is the retards that think their 100% bone stock "insert crappy import here" is the coolest **** on the planet because it was waxed last week.

Bad taste to me is conflicting styles on one car.
IE, Burnout Kit on CCWs. or say, a Lip kit and 4500$ worth in 19in Meisters, or say, a Diffuser on a stock body FD. If you think OEM is cool for some reason, go for it, there are cars that pull it off, but It won't sure won't be yellow with 18x8 chrome miesters

In Conclusion, don't act like your king **** because you don't like agressive wheels or kits. you're driving a sub 10k import like the rest of us.

I LOVE aggressive wheels (and have two sets of them)... particularly with aggressive tires on them that actually fit. There's a difference between "aggressive" and stupid looking. I realize that's a matter of subtlety you might not grasp, but try to think of it as "if a 1-foot tall wing on the back of your car is good, a 4-foot tall wing ISN'T better"... if a mildly stretched tire looks cool (I think it does), it doesn't mean one jacked 3 sizes beyond what it's supposed to be is better. You see this ridiculous **** on the import show circuit where guy look like they were laying awake at night sweating over how they might add more tacky-*** **** on to their car. It looks like ***.

My car's also worth more than "sub 10k" but that's not the point. There's a difference between BEING CHEAP, and LOOKING CHEAP. It's the difference between, say, rich but hopelessly classless Britney Spears, and some girl who makes 30k a year but DOESN'T have her **** all over the internet. Get it?

You can talk about how your car is a hot commodity by the likes of which aston martin could never dream of untill your blue in the face.

you keep on babbling on about less is more.

Every thing on the BN car matches its style. Agressive Kit, Agressive wheel fitment, slammed to 1in static clearance, the wing from hell.

BN isn't my favorite, but its badass none the less.

Every thing on your car prolly fits your "I gots me an exotic" attitude, Overpriced wheels, prolly something like kenisis or HRE or "insert 1k per american wheel here" a lip, a paint job with 8 coats of clear and prolly alot of racing beat parts.

I don't dig that style, but it probably doesn't look bad.

Now, take the BN FCs wheels and put them on your car, that looks like ***, take shitty conserivitive fitment HREs and put them on the BN car. that looks like ***.

Theres more to cars than your retarded "zOMG, lip kit or nothing" attitude.

But what do I know, Im not a pretentious douche that charges people 245$ an hour to tell them what to think.

McRussellPants: Dude, you are a complete tool and have no idea what you are talking about. Unlike some others, Ptrhahn actually has 10" wide wheels that fit properly, with 275 or 285-width tires. His car is setup for actual fast street and track use, not fitting in at Hot Import Nights events.

Go back under the rock you came from. And please take some of the idiots in this thread with you.

O fo sho. It will be way lower. I already lowered it since I rolled the fenders and such but im gonna wait till the car is done (aero, engine, etc.) untill it is dropped to the final height. And as for the **** talking I knew it was gonna come eventually. I say beauty is in the eye of the beholder I dont care what you get paid for or what the "proper fitment is" or any of that crap. I buy **** for what I like/need, not for what someone tells me too. "For those who don't like it, eat a *ick

First of all, I'm pretty sure he never said anything about his car being better than an Aston Martin, so you may want to pick up the latest edition of Hooked On Phonics. I also love how you assumed he was saying all you should have on your car is a lip kit, whatever the **** that is. The only thing I've seen that resembles what you're probably referring to is an R1 lip or 99 Spec lip. Why are you newbs getting so bent out of shape when he says he doesn't like how it looks? Who gives a ****? So what he doesn't have the same taste as you. Do me a favor, save an RX-7 for someone that actually deserves it and get yourself a Civic like every other jackass that thinks it's a racecar. ****** newbs.

I couldn't agree more, with all of it. Tool...yes he is. 275/285...I wish I had gotten either one of those instead of 265 for my 10" wide wheels, it's just a little too stretched. Show cars may look nice, but as far as I'm concerned they're a huge waste of time and money. If you can't have fun in the car, what's the point? Especially when it's an RX-7. Go back under the rock and take the other idiots with you...DEFINITELY. If anyone has seen the recent abomination that is Jay Laub's car...it has 20"s and tires on the front that don't seem to exist. Nice for a show car, but just plain moronic if he ever plans to drive it.

OH MAN, it's over now.

As a DIPLOMAT, HAHAHAHAHAHA, i say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm a veteran like all the other "OLD TIMERS" **** just turned 30, OH NOOOO!!!!!! Life's over for me now. haha.

I too am conservative and would want to improve the FD's handling capabilities but at the same time I can see where this "drifter/VIP" style is coming from and definitely don't knock it, but will depending on your functions for the vehicle.

If you're building a track car and trying to stretch tires I'd say that's kinda not so good. So all i have to say is that it all comes down to your objectives for the car. The important thing is that each of you are happy with your car and HAVE NO REGRETS.

The modifications required to make some of this **** work and the potential issues you might have with wheel bearings, curbed rims, and all that fun stuff will greatly increase. Just make sure you are prepared to deal with some of those issues financially as well. Not too mention tire wear and OH MAN a bunch of expensive ****.

Guys, at least it still has a rotary right? hehe. Just trying to cheer y'all up. OH BTW, i didn't read any other pages. I apologize if I'm way out of context.

And Charlie, **** em all. NOBODY HAS THE BALLZ TO GET FULLY POLISHED THREE PIECE MEISTERS. HAHAHA. YOU ARE A TRUE BALLER/IDOL. Frikin CYM R1 with 3PC Pol. omg sickness.

FRANKLY US OLD TIMERS ARE GONNA LOOK AT IT FROM A RESALE VALUE STANDPOINT AND STAYING TRUE TO THE FD Suspension ENGINEERING. Not too mention we're very saddened by the lack of them remaining and to see so many of them not in original condition any longer is very saddening. Somebody better sponsor me with a FD chasis or I'll never get one that's clean.

Laters, Rishie
