Left tire/fender rubs

My 93 RX-7 is currently sitting on some Eibach Pro-Kit springs and supported by Tokico shocks. Car handles pretty well except the only problem is when I am going around 25 or faster and i make a right turn, the front left tire always rubs on the fenders. Also, if i hit a small bump on the freeway or on the streets, the tire rubs... hard. I have no idea why it does this, does anybody have an idea whats up. I got this car used with over a 100k miles on it.

Are you on stock wheels?

Also, have the upper shock mounts been replaced? If not, they are probably worn and installing new ones will raise your ride height a bit, maybe enough to stop the rubbing.

Did you have the vehicle aligned after you installed the Pro-kit springs?

When you lower a vehicle the suspension will automatically increase on the negative camber side. If you have not had your alignment adjusted i would recommend doing this to see if it remedies your rubbing issues.

When I went with H&R sport springs and Tokico's, I would rub a bit on the left on bumps/compression. This was with new shock mounts and alignment, running 245/45-16s which I believe are slightly larger diameter than stock. (?)

In any case, after relocating the battery and removing the A/C, the problem has gone away with the 70 lbs from that corner. Point is not that you need to remove those, but rather that the lowering springs may not have sufficiently high spring rates to avoid all rubbing with the lowered height.

That speculation aside, check the Tokico's for leaks. I've known several folks who had Tokico's blow out on them. Last but not least, if you're rubbing when you turn, you may have wheel/tire fitment issues OR excessive body roll... how old are those springs/shocks/sways/mounts?
