Lack of Traction with S-02s

265/35/18s, about 28 psi

of course the cold weather doesn't help, but the lack of traction in second, and even third, is crazy, do S-O2's just stink? can I run a 40 profile?

I'm somewhere in the 360 rwhp range, haven't dyno'd yet

28 PSI seems a little low, especially in cold weather.

I second the cold. Even when my FD was making only ~300RWHP, I was running about brand new Kumho MXs in 265/35r18, and on a 40-50* day, even 1/2 throttle in 1st or second would spin the tires as soon as I came into boost.

Of course, you can always pray that a new set will just magically show up.

Good point, I'm willing to bet that those S02s are pretty old at this point.

You guys crack me up with this at least once a day. "I have 350 hp and my car won't hook up! What tires do I need????" NO tire is going to hook up when you're running that much power in such a lightweight car. Your right foot is what hooks the car up.
