Help with How to Install VOLK valve Stems
Ok, I'm a proud owner of brand new Gram Lights and as idiotic as this sounds, I can't seem to figure out how to get the valve stems on. I know this question seems rather mundane, but this is more of a double check than anything else, so bare with the complicated explaination, and I hope the pictures help to explain my confusion with this simple but important part.
Ok, I can put them on, but I wanted to verify is that the stems are on correctly, as the rims came with no instructions on how to fit them properly.
Starting off, what I mean by "properly", is that there are multiple parts. If u look at the picture below of the new valve stem in the bag, u will see (starting from the cap),that there is a grommet, chrome washer ring, two nuts, and a a grommet that is not attached to the valve stem. This is the way that the company sent me the stems, and Im assuming that this "order" of parts (think of it like layering a sandwich) is supposed to be the order that you assemble the stem on the rims edge. However, the packaging of these stems doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be in that order, but I was assuming it was packaged that way for a reason. In either case however, trying to put them on this way seems immediately show signs of air leaking, as there is only one grommet on to hold an air seal.
I've posted some pictures of how me and my friend believe they are supposed to fit. The idea is that the valve stem is essentially supposed to have a grommet on each side of the rims surface, correct? This holds the valve stem in place, but more importantly holds an airtight seal, which is why we decided to place the "extra" grommet above the chrome washer.
So, back to my original question; What is the proper order to sandwich these parts, affixing it to the valve stem? If any of you have these rims, or stems that are very similar, please chime in here. Clearing up this confusion would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the answer (Rishie will), but I'm giving you a bump since I'll have to figure this same thing out later
FWIW, if I had to guess, I would say that you have it right in the bottom picture: innermost nut to lock the next nut, next nut to tighten the assembly against the rim, washer to protect the grommet from the nut and to spread the force evenly, and a grommet on each side to seal. I'd put some locktite on the nuts too, since a loose valvestem would be a PITA to deal with...

That looks right to me, but my Volk valve stems were different, I think. I think the two nuts were outside the rim. It doesn't look like yours would work that way, so they might be different.
Be sure to jam the nuts against each other to keep them from coming loose. That's why there are two nuts. A light thread lock compound is a good idea, too.

Looks right to me. I'm real tired right now and I'll look closer tommorrow.
Just make sure the lock nut is on there. lol. Usually the tire shop will do this. Are you mounting these yourself?? Or just don't want them to risk it. lol.
