Probably could squeeze 9 x 17 45-mm offset with 255/40-17s on there?

Yup... i could actually have the local dealer order me two 1/2" wider inside rim halves, and just have them reassembled as 9". The rim halves are relatively cheap.

Here's an example of 17x9 +45 with 255/40 Toyo's. This picture is kind of old and was taken with stock Konis on the second perch setting, and stock springs. I have since switched to Eibachs. Just to give you guys an idea. I think I have some better close up shots (I can post them if you want), but this will give you an idea. (sorry ptrhahn, don't mean to jack your thread).

How much do those weigh? They are nice looking, but I dont think they will look as good on red cars. They look awesome on silver and black though

Mine are 17.5lbs without tires (not sure about ptrhahn cause he has different sizes). With 255/40 tires, they come in under 42lbs (closer to 41). They actually weigh less than my stock setup.

I've not weighed mine, but i can say that the 17x10 was noticeably lighter than my old 17x9" SSR Integral with the same size tire.

I'm pretty sure the S02 and the RE71s weighed about the same, too.

I dunno about that. They do look good on red, but not as good as Volk Le-28n's.

Sorry bro, I'd take FM10's over Le-28n's any day of the week. Nothing against the Volks, cause they look pretty sweet on your car, but I suppose I just like the classic styling of the Fikses.
