FD strut top nut size?

What size/pitch nut does the strut tops use? Looking to replace my current old nuts with something nicer. Trying to avoid going back to Lowes to figure it out..lol

Thanks

Hint: typically (but not always) take the socket size required and subtract 4 to get the stud diameter.

M10x1.25..... good luck finding that at Lowes though. Metric, plus a fine thread pitch for a relatively large diameter.

Thanks.

I don't buy the hardware from Lowes but I go there to size them so I can order bolts. Been there like 3x this week figuring out bolt sizes. Lol I probably spent $200 on arp bolts this week. Ugh

A smart person would check it with their tap and die set which every FD car owner should own,
or take one of the nuts down to a good hardware store to test.

Does not have the knack.

A smart person would have basic reading comprehension skills. Clearly you've not read past the title, because the post directly above yours addresses that. But thanks for your excellent contribution.

Lazy!
Why even have a forum at all? Pretty much anything can be figured out.

Are you really that dumb?

Funniest part is you care that much you'd bump this thread. You really must have an awfully exciting life.

Simple things do not require a forum, just a basic idea of how to diagnose problems.
If you show laziness and very little mechanical ability, you do not deserve to own a RX-7.
We are not here to teach you the very simple basics of auto repair.
Show us some initiative if you want to EARN respect from us.

Spec C, you're picking a fight with the wrong guy.

Chuck is one of the veterans around here, and has helped out hundreds with his Power FC tuning notes.

Juice ain't worth the squeeze here IMO, your time is probably better spent searching or researching

I could care less honestly. His contribution in this thread was unnecessary, and worthless. You would think a "vet" would have better things to do than waste his time on such a menial thread.

I know I have been building Subaru's for 12+ years, and if I ran across a thread like this on NASIOC I would either post something useful, or just move on, not come across like a pompous douche.

Was a simple question, with a simple answer(as you posted). Like any other thread, if you have nothing useful to add, move on. A vet should know this.

I guess everyone needs to feel important somewhere. lol

Bottom line is I got my answer, and my strut top nuts, and didn't have to go out in the 120 deg heat. Thanks for that.

ps. This is my last post in here.. You win. You are the best ever! Congrats.
