w regard to the RB BBK fitting ____________ (fill in the blank) wheel set, i can understand the question but it sure is alot of the tail wagging the dog.
the FD needs alot more rotor mass. without more rotor mass you will end up w no brakes within 2-3 laps on high performance street tires.
the RB BBK front rotor is 1.26 inches thick and is composed of superior materials and design.
guess which is the RB rotor...
if you plan to track your FD and don't have compatible wheels i suggest you focus on the dog and not the tail.
trade the wheels. buy the brakes.

We have added the caliper width to the drawing, as requested. In addition, here is a comparison of our A, B, and C dimensions (in mm) as compared with other brands:

* RB requires much less axial clearance due to our center mount design feature, which can eliminate the need for wheel spacers and longer studs.

What is the difference between the older RP01 and newer RPF01?
I have RP01s 9X17s and the rear BBK kit fits with over 1/8" clearnance, maybe 1/4". Unfortunatley I am on vacation in Singapore, otherwise I would give exact clearance.

hello, probably not the best thread for such a question, but since i do not have the 5 stars required to start a thread, i ran a search for "rear brake diagram" and this is what i came up with.
I have run into a large problem with my friend's '93 RX-7. My brother took off all of the calipers and installed new rotors, and the plan was to paint the calipers and make everything "pretty" well, my brother got everything taken apart and got lazy on me, and now he does not remember how it goes back together, (what an idiot!) so i'm taking over the job. the problem is with the rear brakes, we have lots of clips and brackets, and i'm not at all sure how it all goes back together.
Does anyone have a diagram of the stock brake assembly for this vehicle? or can you tell me where these things go and how it should look when it's all reassembled? PLEASE help, and again, i'm sorry if i am on the wrong thread or if there is another for this topic can i please get a link to it?

Note that RB now offers the 'shallow offset' setup that I'm running, part #2117:

needs more track time

For anyone interested in a spare rim/tire that clears the RB BBK, the 17" spare from the 99+ Mustang seems to work. I believe the model mustang you want to look for is the Cobra or Bullit which had big 13" brakes stock.
The rim is a 17" x 5" IIRC. The one I found is from a 2005 Mustang. It is paired with a 185/60/17 spare tire which is about 1/2" larger rolling diameter than my 255/40/17 rims. According to this thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/suspension-wheels-tires-brakes-20/spare-tire-rz-brakes-836781/
if I mount a T125/70D17 size tire, it will fit better and should fit in the spare tire well.
It fits over the front rotor and caliper.
It is the correct bolt pattern.
It is not hub-centric but it is lug-centric so take care mounting the spare with your lug nuts and you should be good to go.
I found this locally on Craigslist for $50. They are about $200 on ebay.
Spare tires from the RX8 and Mazdaspeed3 should fit also since they are the correct bolt pattern, are 17" diameter and come with the correct sized 125 tire. I might explore that if the local dealer has one.
Hope someone finds this helpful.
