FC Suspension Links

Im doing some research looking to make some aftermarket supension links for the FC. Wanted to get some opinions. As far as aftermarket suspension links ive seen so far for the FC, all I can find are a rear camber and rear toe links. Are there any specific designs that the general community prefers? Anything you would suggest improving on? and is there any link thats not made or no longer made you would like to see made again? thanks!

Also are there any aftermarket upgraded inner and outer tie rods available for the FC at this time? thanks!

The only thing that I have never seen is a custom front control arm.

The rear links and bushings are made by a lot of people at competative prices.

I would like to see more front bump steer tie rod ends. I've only seen mazdatrix and awr so far. Better yet, make a steering rack bushings and spacers, but check the clearances. Hmmm, anyone make solid steering rack bushings?

One guy is working on some supposedly. I want a set of solid rack bushings. There are no options for FCs those would sell. The manual rack and power racks use different bushings.

It's good to hear another 7 lover out there wants to fabricate adjustable suspension, even better for an FC. The only reason I am envious of the FD is because of the availability of adjustable parts (please don't start an FC vs FD discussion, for me it is just a style thing). I have been looking into fabricating rear links, front control arms, and even rear crossmembers. I did find a few good hits on a simple google search for "fabricating suspension". Found one shop that has a few tutorials on making custom control arms, and they are very descriptive and helpful. The only problem is they were working out of a probably 250,000 dollar shop setup with mandrel benders, top-of-the-line welders, etc.

It is a little out of my current budget but someday I would like to be able to fab everything from manifolds to cages to headers.

Oh and to answer your question and not digress any longer, check mazdatrix for the tie rod stuff, they have more options than most other sites. Just remember, if you want to buy something, call them FIRST and get a shipping quote. They can be a little scheisty with that area.

I'm wondering their reason for changing the design on the factory designed arm. From what I've heard, the factory rear arm has very little toe change as the suspension moves

They're reason for changing it is because if you're running much smaller (23") tires you're in a part of the suspension travel that has a lot of camber gain. they're just trying to fix camber issues.

I was interested so I looked it up:

Their suspension design is probably going to add a lot of bump steer. Mazda engineered the suspension like they did to get rid of the inherent bump steer of the semi-trailing arm. the BMW e30 has horrible bump steer because it doesn't have the extra link.
