CA FC Rear Sway Bar Problem *help please*

Alright, so i just installed all new polyurethane bushings in my fc, including my rear sway bar bushings and rear end link bushings.
My problem is, My driver side rear sway bar bushing bracket keep bending like crazy and the bar is basically hanging out of the bracket. the passenger side one is fine, but the driver side once keeps bending out of shape BAD.
ive tried everything, at first it looked as though where the bar and the endlink met the bolt was scraping against the underside when i took a hard turn, so i shortened the bolt. It didnt help, i then switched the bolt around and still nothing.

what the hell am i doing wrong? I have a picture that i can post. but please any help guys? this is starting to get on my last nerve.

here it is, im wondering if i put the bar back in wrong, but it looks as though it can only go in one way.

IIRC, there should be another stud to hold up the end hanging down (see https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...92&postcount=1, 3rd pic in)

So as you drive around, the part of the bracket (end part) which doesn't have a bolt is pulling out of its hinge slot?

the brackets only came with one bolt hole on each side.
there are not 2, and these are the OEM brackets.

yes the the bar keeps pulling out of the hinge slot, when i go to work tomorrow ill take pics of the passenger side bracket. it looks perfectly fine. only the driver side is doing it.
it makes me nervous cause everytime i make a hard turn or go up a driveway i hear a "CLUNK".

from the thread you showed me it looks as though the sway bar is going to the opposite way of mine. maybe i put mine in backwards? that would be embarrasing

The bend in the bar as pictured should be angled towards the inside and back as well. And it is strange how the non bolt end can slide out of the bracket slot without bending. Before tightening the bolt is there any room to slide the bracket more towards the hinge slot?

EDIT: Did you remove the bracket located above that has two bolts? It appears that the bolt on the right is not tightened completely.

You could carve out the single hole so the tab opposite gets a bit more engagement but at the end of the day it's still kind of a crappy design. Time to go hunting at your local wrecking yard and upgrade to the two bolt style. I'm guessing this is an s4 vs. s5 thing, anyone know for sure?

well heres a pic of the passenger side brack, as you can see, in decent shape

i read that you stated that the hooked part of the sway bar should be facing towards the rear, but theres no way the endlink yould reach it from where it bolts up.
i took a pic here to show what im talking about, this is very frustrating, everytime i go up a driveway theres a loud "clunk" from the bar popping out of the bracket. heres there pic to show you what im talking about.

You can see in the picture where the old brackets were located, on those two bolts. You can make out the outline of where they used to sit. The brackets NEED to have a bolt on either side, there's no way around it. Also, your sway bar is upside down. You need to turn it around so that the ends of the sway bar point DOWN. This is so that it goes around the half shafts with more clearance.

There's no way around it, those brackets will never work properly, you need to get some proper ones.

Shoot, my bad, I just looked at the FSM and I was remembering wrong, you had it the right way around before. The bracket is still wrong though, it needs 2 bolts.
