Dumb as rocks when it comes to offsets...

If I wanted these wheels to have more of a concave to them - would that be a +offset or a -offset .. I feel like negative pull the back of the run more to the inside of the car which would give you that concave look--

FLAME AWAY- I am a compete noob with wheels.

Sorry for my grammar -I meant to say -that negative offset to me looks like it would pull the rim more towards the inside of the wheel well.

The offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel.

so cut the wheel in half and you have two equal widths.

The offset is the distance from the center of the wheel (the two equal halfs).

So a higher offset will have less concave look.

a +15MM will be more concaved than a +50MM offset.

The problem is you need to balance the looks with what actually fits on the car and what it is designed for (scrub radius).

The stock offset for a rx7 FD is a 16x8 +50MM offset. To maintain the stock scrub radius you can get any wheel width and maintain the stock +50MM offset up to a 10" wheel and it will work. The problem is the wheel will not look that concaved.

You can fit other offset wheels with playing with offsets and stretching tires, etc but it will effect the performance of the vehicle.

The best offsets that most people go with are +50MM to +38MM for performance and may not look great.

others go lower offsets to get the wheels to look more concave but sacrifice performance (stretch skinny tires).

You can also see some websites like Volk and they sometimes post the wheel face type. so they use the same wheel face type for different offsets and widths of wheels.

When you find a wheel just ask to see if it will fit.
