Arrow Cant decide which rims. Help me =8)

Specs: 1987 Mazda RX-7 GXL with KYB AGX all around and eibach springs. Stock GXL rims with 205/60-15 Falken Ziex 512 all season, bolt pattern 5X114.3(right).

Debating between ENKEI EVO5 17x7 (35MM OFFSET) with Falken 452 (215/45/17) or 5zigen GN+ 17x7.5 (35mm offset) with Falken 452 (215 or 225/45/17).

HEre is a picture of my ill photoshop skills. (To be honest i wanted 5zigen 5zr but only come in 18", or the Volk TE-37 but thats mad $$$).

Price: $1100 ish for ENKEI or $1700 ish for 5zigen. I like both equally so the price difference isnt really a determining factor.

(Riding back to the future style with no TIRES)

Thanks

Jason NYC/CT

Additional questions.

Will the 225 tires rub the KYB/Eibach suspension with a 35mm max offset as indicated in FC3spro website? I checked my current set up and the tire was kinda close to the springs, so even with pushing the offset a bit out to the fender and thicker rim/tire (assuming 5zigen rims), will it rub. Also will it affect my fender? Do i have to roll lol

if you have 1k-1500 to spend on rims... find something with better offsets than that and tire sizes... you would be happier in the long run

look into maybe mb motoring wheels(weapon, competition, battle's).. 17x9 with a +23 offset... and also running a 235/45/17... would look proper and fit very well

plus they look much better than those rims

tires.com has mbmotoring wheels. they are pretty cheap and come in nice sizzes/offset (17x8 +35-25 would be good for you if you dont wanna mess with your fenders).
those wheels just seem too expensive for a generic size.
sportmax (on ebay) has wheels that look pretty similar to those 5 spokes

I think you can get a better deal then that...

For around the same price as the 5zigen, I got 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 enkei rpf1 rims with 235x40 and 255x40 Dunlop z1 star spec tires, mounted, balanced, and ready to go.

edit: Contact Rishie from AutoRnD, he should be able to get you a good deal.

those prices listed up there include the rims and tires as a combo already mounted, balanced, with lug nuts and valve stems

the prices i listed above are for the rim/tires/mounted/balanced/lugnuts/valve stems and delivery.

I just want them to be a bit bigger than teh stockers and fill up the wheel well a bit better.

Thanks for the responses

mb motoring battle's.... this is with the +17 offset, you can get a higher offset

mb motoring weapons... 17x9 also, same offsets as the battle's... search more for FC pictures with them

mb competitions, 17x9 +27 great FC fitment if you dont ever want to touch your fender lips

all around 600 shipped(at most)... and 400-600 bucks for some great tires

all can be found on www.discounttire.com good site.. btw they make many 5x114.3 good sized rims, oem mustang rims are good(cobra ones)... many people rock those

Those wheel and tire packages aren't as great of a deal as you might think. But between the two, I would buy the 5zigens if it were me.

Yes! RPM2s, strong, pretty lightweight, and come in good sizes. I was thinking of buying these before I bought my rpf1s.

I think you need to put a disclaimer on this comment as it would depend a lot on tire width and camber adjustments. a lot of people like to run a 245/255 on a 9" wheel not a 205/215
