It does look so much cleaner in the engine bay though. I so wish I could have purchased one of those old dual master cylinder AP Racing setups.

Old? Just about every serious race car on the track uses a dual master system. Every part to do one is available. Check Tilton and Wilwood sites.

Yes, old. As in, no longer produced. A specific kit that was produced for the FD that included the master cylinders the balance bar and the mounting hardware to mount everything in the stock location. Mark Valskis of AP Racing/Brembo fame designed and sold the system for a short period time over ten years ago. I know you can simply pick and choose from the other manufactures, but they do not approach the elegance of this setup.

K2RD prototyped something very similar, its not complex at all. we've actually got a ton of the brackets in a box somewhere, you'd just need the masters, and jqrewe has a bunch of threads on the proper sizing.

I'm bringing this back from the dead.

I'm really considering going with manual brakes because I don't want the dead feel of a brake booster and no ABS.

Now the dual cylinder from ChaseBays has 1" pistons. The single Cylinder has a 7/8" piston.

My car will be 75% on the track, 15% in the garage and 10% on the street.

That being said, without looking at rules of different sanctions, what would be "ideal" for my application.

The $60 difference is not a big deal between the two pieces so either or...

I'm digging the catch can - but where is it plumbed to???

Surely the hose doesn't go all the way around to the oil filler neck?

all the rally cars ive been around use two independant MC with a balance bar. Then when looking at the stock pedal, that ratio is usually less than desireable to get a good feel. The pedal ratio wasn't designed for manual brakes, so i could be changed.

I removed my brake booster several months ago and I love it. I went with chase bays single piston brake kit and proportional valve. You get lots of pedal feedback and it really connects you more with the car. I'll never go back to assisted braking on my rx7.
Looks clean and serves a purpose.
