Been working on my Baby

I'm just about finished up with the suspension and brake upgrades and wanted to let you all check em out. The caliper painting went really well although it took longer than expected (about 2 hours total) but I wanted to do it right so oh well.

On to the pics!

Thurned out pretty good I think!

Yes, was it hard to make all the Xs match, or did you use a stencil or something?

Dude, you're going to need more horsepower, bigger brakes, and fatter tires, to deal with 200-lbs of subwoofer magnets you're hauling around!

Yeah Thats my next project! Bridgeport/Puter/T76/FMIC/injectors, the whole works!

Really though it isn't too heavy, the box is fiberglass not wood, Looking at 90-100 lbs for everything. Not too bad.

It'd be much cheaper to remove the car stereo stuff, and focus on road/track performance goodies...

Jeez, you're quoting root mean square peak power???

As a home stereo hi-fi fanatic myself (not into home theater or mobile electronics stuff), RMS power is a useless number, and is strictly used by electronics makers for selling their junk to the uninitiated...

RMS is true power not peak power. I run 2 500bd's which have been tested at 670 real output. One 360 that has been tested at 532, and 2 250's hidden in the side panal that have been tested at 300ish don't remember the figures on those, one runs my center channel and one runs the rear fill.

Never fear, it sounds really really good, not just some boom factory, it's dolby digital and DTS ready. It sounds better than most high end home systems due to the space i'm working in.

Do some research so you'll know what your talking about before you post. As for SPL I have no idea, prolly around 140. It's not built for SPL, it's built for quality. Front's are $500.00 infinity perfects enclosed in a custom made fiberglass door panel for optimum placement. I've never done anything like what I have done to this car. This is my dream car and I'm doing it right so don't knock it till you sit in it. It would open your eyes to the term high-fi.

BTW my center channel speakers are mounted inside the rear view mirror facing the windshield, the rebound off the glass gives a nice center effect.

Clarion flip out 7" widescreen and yes I glance at it while driving down the hyw. More for passenger pleasure and effect but it's still really sweet. I have a few DTS concerts i play that sound and look fabulous. ELO and Journey in particular. A Fool and his money? Hey bro i don't waste it on crack and drugs. I've been there and done that and am proud to say I do it no more. That **** will ruin your life. Spend your cash on your ride and belive in the only true GOD. The original Superman bro. He will set you free!

I've also installed some sort of brace between the frame rails just under the clutch. didn't get a pic of it but I just told the guy I wanted my FC to handle like rails so thats what he sent me. It was Rocky at RP in Garland who set me up.
