Funny, I was just on the BBS-USA site looking at the RG-R's then noticed your thread resurrection. All they showed there was a 17x8 +32 (RG721) and a 17x9.5 +38 (RG726). I see on your link the size you were looking for showed to be a special factory order. Availability may be the issue if you want new as the RG-R's seem to be limited or discontinued in the 17" size.

I have some pics over in my build thread of 18 inch RG-Rs on my FD and I was surprised by how great they look on a black FD

You beat me to it Rich, I was coming back to let THAD know you had a set of 18's for sale. Those diamond black wheels sure do look sweet on a black FD!

Yeah availability seems to be an issue, but I think I've found a set. I'll let you guys know what comes of it.

Not that it's super easy to get a hold of them anymore, but I can confirm fitment of RG-Rs in 17x8 +40 and 17x9 +42

Just want to revise and double check.

At the biggining of the thread it's saying the 17x9 +42 Offset won't clear the front due to caliper clearance
But it's for the RS FD with larger caliper right ?

It'll however fit usdm spec FD with no problem ?

just to clear Some things up officially. The front usdm FD brakes can fit the RG-R in 17x9 +42. With additional 3mm brake clearance, no Spacers needed

Since I'm working on the car again, I figured I'd make a little update to confirm, THE RG720(17x8 +40) WILL (mostly) NOT CLEAR THE FRONT RZ/RS CALIPERS. it's close, really close. the only contact is the raised lettering on the caliper, but thermal expansion is a thing, so I'm throwing a custom hub centric 3mm spacer on it to be safe. the rear 330mm rotor and caliper bracket seem to have no issues with the 17x9 +42. hope this is relevant to someone else, but at the very least, I'm sure it will pop up for me in a google search 10 years from now.

Thanks, this post made me certain the bbs LM I found will fit, except they are 18x8+40 and 18x9+42.

18x8 RG-R (offset likely 42). Michelin Primacy 18x225/40

I previously had 245/35 but front rubbed on arch when turning uphill. Worked OK when I rolled the front fenders (partially).

I think the SakeBomb Garage wheels are the easy button option these days for a wheel in this style that fits
