You never see full pics of my car because I have a tri-level Supra battle wing, 123213mm exhaust tip, a giant "Powered by Deez Nuts!" sticker on the rear window, all the Mazda badges replaced with blue ovals, Calvin is pissing on "Importz", and bright yellow blobs painted on my doors (reminds me of a race car that way). I've also got some ***** hanging down from the trailer hitch (okay, I actually do have a receiver for a trailer hitch), and some bullet hole and Mugen decals. I just got some GT-R badges and Acura seat belt pads to install this weekend. Last year, I got some custom Japanese characters painted on the sides. I thought they meant "Road Snake" but later found out that "Little Worm" would be a more accurate translation. I know you guys wouldn't think those items are cool, so I don't take any pictures of the whole car. A sasquatch is more likely to show up in the close-up shots, too, and I am always on the lookout for those.

The kind of post that can only occur at 3am...

BTW, Manny, just wait man. You really don't seem that fired up about either wheel. Maybe something else will come out in the next few months that will suit you better.

Volk & Sasquatch:

See! If that was a shot of the full car, the sasquatch would have been lost in the background. (thanks to jimlab for the pic ).

Max you are killing me with your posts. Another nice pic of a red FD and mesh Volks...that and TAZ's car are my favorites...

rynberg, I've agonized too long. Thought hard about CE28N, but can't get excited about aesthetics. Thought about CCWs, but too many exposed bolts, and well, they're not very good looking either. Fikses are always are a great choice if you have wheel sponsor (LOL ). Thought about the Comps again, except in silver...but heck I've that wheel already in anthracite centers. Thought about the Enkei NT03+Ms, but couldn't get over the spider web look. Thought about going cheap with Racing Sparcos, but that was just way to Hondaesque. Thus, I distilled my choices to these two, I am excited about them, actually. Ideally, I'd have the money to do both, and sell off my SSR Integral A2s...a shame since I like my current wheels too. It's always a money thing...dammit...

See how large the wheel looks, eventhough it's a 17-inch wheel? This illusion comes from the longer thinner spokes of the SE37K compared with the BBS RG-R's cross spokes.

Rx8, I did have a set of Comps last year. They were my track wheels, 8.5 and 9.5 x 17, 42-mm offset, 15.5 lbs and 16.5 lbs, ea respectively. Tires were 245/45 and 275/40-17 Hoosier R3S03s. Yeah, the SE37K is 2 lbs lighter per wheel than RG-R, and that makes the SE37K ideal for track. Although, if I go RG-R, my Integrals go to the track, and they're 19 lbs each (not exactly ideal for performance). If I go SE37K, the Integrals stay as road wheels.

2 pounds per wheel lighter is a big difference to me...

Manny, why aren't you looking at the BBS RS-GTs? They make a 17x9 +45 offset wheel. Are they too heavy? Do they not provide adequate brake clearance?

The RS-GTs are a two-piece wheel, and aren't as light as the RGRs.

Those are rears only, meaning there is NOT enough front brake caliper clearance.

5 days, 24 votes, 61 posts and Manny still don't know what he gonna do

I suggest 17" steelies. Then you can go to Wal-Mart every few months and buy a new set of plastic hubcaps for $40 in whatever style you decide you like at that time

As my old roomate used to say:

"if you took half the time you spend contemplating these things, and spend it researching and investing your money, you wouldn't have these dilemmas in the first place"

'course that was the 90's.

Hmm, I thought I was clear about my choice in previous posts? Volk SE37Ks in Titanium Silver, 9 x 17, 40-mm offset shod with 255/40-17 Toyo RA-1s? I'll be sure to follow up with pictures once they arrive in 10 weeks...

Thanks to all who contributed an opinion. I realize most of you voted for BBS RG-R. Despite your better judgement, I went with what I thought would work best. I still think the SE37Ks look marginally better than the BBS cross-spoke design. Based on the voting, I'm in the minority Still there's NOT an overwhelming majority of folks who prefer BBS RG-R over Volk SE37K...

pep boys ABS Plastic chrome spinners! Those things rock, and even when you are sitting at stop lights, it looks like you're hauling a$$! Plus, I'd love to see the looks on people's faces when they come flying off around a corner at an auto-x or road course!

Yup, Volk SE37K...but first, I need to figure out my turbo boost problem, and rule out new turbos as a priority...

I'm just going to stir the pot a little...

Saw these on a FD in the pix from Sevenstock:

They come in gold, white and silver:

No clue what sizes fit the FD, but they have some promise. Here is a link from one vendor - http://www.gruppe-s.com/Advan/advantc2.htm

Here is a car at Sevenstock with these wheels: http://www.nopro.com/~fdparts/albums...8937.sized.jpg http://www.nopro.com/~fdparts/albums...9078.sized.jpg

Just an update on this thread. Decided on 9.5 x 17 all around with 40-mm offset. Apparently 9.5 x 17 SE37K can be run at all four corners because the caliper clearances for this width allow for the "big calipers of the Rx7" (as noted on the Ray's Japan website). Nearly all the extra width (~0.45 inches) will be outboard, with only 0.05 inches inboard. This means the trackwidth increases ~1 inch from my current 9 x 17 SSR Integrals in 9 x 17, 45-mm offset. Not only with the car have a wider more aggressive stance, but will also corner better with a wider track width...too bad I won't be open tracking anymore though LOL
